Hey guys, I’m Vondy Balthazar. You’re probably wondering, who is this guy making random posts? It IS out of my comfort zone, however allow me to explain.

I created this page because I am passionate about the power of communication and it’s impact on improving relationships. As I reflect on my own life, a common theme was a lack of communication.

Growing up, I was always interested in what the “adults” were doing, but I was never really included. Living in marginalized communities, I moved quite a bit and I was not sure why. I understood money was hard to come by, but other families in our position seemed to be rooted in their neighborhoods.

I felt the people in my life weren’t being honest with me and that lead to a lack of trust. Also, the lack of communication supported the idea that I was not understood as a child and that led to me “acting out” or distancing myself from my family after at first wanting to be involved. However, I now know that it is my calling to spread knowledge about effective communication to improve the relationship between single parents and their children.

Being raised in a single parent household, exposure to effective communication would have allowed me to thrive as a child. It would have ultimately lifted my self-worth, confidence, and improved my own ability to manage relationships throughout my life.

So let’s go on this journey together to invest time, patience, and improve the communication with your children to help them reach their full potential.

The THINK acronym was created to help individuals be kinder to people on social media. This concept also applies to in person conversations as well. We are talking colleagues, friends, family, children, and/ or your significant other. Is it reasonable to apply this strategy in our daily lives?
