Prints of all featured images are available for purchase. Ever since I was old enough to hold a camera, I was taking pictures. Even at a young age I was obsessed with being able to capture a moment in time. I got my first DSLR when I started working in Yellowstone National Park and I quickly learned that art and nature have the power to inspire and connect people. My hope is that my photos show th

e beauty and magic of the natural environment and the wildlife that call it home to continue efforts in conservation and preservation.

Watching wildlife in their natural environment isn’t just about seeing animals, it’s about witnessing an entire ecosystem unfolding in real time. There’s no script, no guarantees, and that’s what makes every sighting feel so meaningful. Each moment feels earned.

What stayed with me most wasn’t just the “big” sightings, but the in-between moments. The stillness, the anticipation, the way time seems to stretch out when you’re fully present. It’s a different pace of life out there, one that quietly reminds you to slow down and pay attention.

I feel incredibly grateful to have experienced it, and even more grateful to share these glimpses through my lens. These photos are pieces of a journey that felt both grounding and surreal at the same time.

If safari has ever been on your list… keep it there. It’s not just a trip, it’s something that stays with you long after you leave.

Watching elephants at sunset in Zambia is something I’ll carry with me forever. The fear fades. The memories don’t.

The Luangwa River is famous for its incredible hippo populations, but it’s not always peaceful. These two giants clashed in a dramatic battle, jaws wide and tempers high, sending echoes across the valley.

Hippos may spend most of the day submerged and serene, but they’re among Africa’s most territorial animals. Males will fiercely defend their stretch of river, and when rivals meet—the power on display is unforgettable.

Few birds catch the light quite like the lilac-breasted roller.
Perched high in the branches, this beauty seemed to glow in the morning sun, every color more vivid than the last.

It’s moments like these that remind you how vibrant and alive Africa truly is. ✨

🐆 This was from our first leopard sighting in Zambia, and what a moment it was! Hidden in the brush near Kiango Camp, this stunning cat moved with that effortless grace that makes leopards so mesmerizing to watch.

Zambia has a way of delivering magic when you least expect it and this was one of those memories I’ll never forget. 🌿

There’s something truly special about mornings in the bush with the soft light, the quiet, and the sense that the world is just beginning to wake. As the sun broke over the horizon, this lioness gently carried her cub through the golden grass, a perfect mix of strength and tenderness.

For lions, moving cubs is a careful ritual. Mothers often shift them to new, safer spots every few days to keep them hidden from danger. Watching her step so deliberately, with the cub dangling softly from her jaws, was a reminder of how much care and instinct goes into every moment of survival in the wild.
It’s scenes like this that make every early morning worth it. 🌅

The pied kingfisher is a master of focus and flight. We caught him in the moments after a perfect catch with prize in beak.

Found near rivers and lagoons across Africa, they’re living proof that even the smallest creatures can be fierce, patient, and perfectly adapted.

The African wild dog is one of the most striking animals to see on safari. Their mottled coats of black, tan, and white make each one completely unique, like nature’s own fingerprint.

This one had just finished a morning hunt and was taking a well earned rest. In the soft light, its golden eyes seemed to shine even brighter. Alert, intelligent, and always aware of its surroundings.

With only around 6,000 left in the wild, every encounter with these endangered predators feels incredibly special. They’re smart, social, and vital to keeping Africa’s ecosystems in balance.

Say hello to the grey-headed kingfisher, a jewel of Africa’s waterways and woodlands. With its slate-grey crown, rich chestnut belly, and electric-blue wings, this little bird is a burst of color against the muted tones of the bush.

Unlike its water-diving cousins, the grey-headed kingfisher often hunts insects and small prey from perches along riverbanks and forest edges. Spotting one perched quietly, scanning for movement, feels like uncovering a secret brushstroke in nature’s artwork.

Here is a matriarch in the making. A powerful female elephant quietly leads three of her youngsters as she steps boldly into her new role. It’s the beginning of her own herd.

Elephants live in intricate family networks where wisdom, memory, and leadership pass from one generation to the next. Female elephants often stay with their mothers’ family groups until they’re ready to branch off and form The deep bonds and complex societies elephants create remind us why it’s so vital to protect these family groups and the spaces they call home.

While visiting the South Luangwa National Park we learned about their dedication to protecting the wildlife and habitat. The Conservation South Luangwa was created by like minded safari operators and stakeholders with a vision to support anti-poaching, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, veterinary work, and community outreach. CSL works in partnership with the Government Department of National Parks and Wildlife Services DNPW to conduct wide spread anti-poaching patrols in the national park and game management area which helps keeps the ecosystem thriving and witnessing wildlife encounters like this possible for visitors.

These aren’t your average stripes. Meet the Crawshay’s zebra, a subspecies found in eastern Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. Unlike their plains zebra cousins, Crawshay’s zebras have narrower, more defined stripes and lack a visible shadow stripe between the black and white — giving them a crisp, high contrast look.

Every pattern is unique, like a barcode of the wild. These beautiful grazers play a vital role in the ecosystem, trimming grasses and helping maintain the landscape for other species. Seeing one this close in the golden light? Safari magic.
