With Mrs B When it comes to the business of life… the words you surround yourself with matter! My entire professional career was in the Corporate World. B.

As a Human Resources professional; a dress and heels, corporate meetings, travel, and conference calls were my norm. Until, a divorce, a company closure, and a new marriage changed all that. I reluctantly stopped interviewing and swapped my stilettos for casual attire, moved into a new home with 5 kids (2 mine and 3 new bonus kids) and joined my new husband in running his business. In the beginnin

g is was blissful.. I even tried to do some consulting to maintain my credibility in my profession. BUT… I was completely out of my comfort zone, I felt really lost and didn't know what to do with myself. I was blissfully married, volunteering, attending all the things I used to miss for the kids, but not fulfilled. I was having an IDENTITY CRISIS! That identity crisis combined with the sudden loss of my mother set me into a tailspin which lasted 2 years. Until one day, I took charge of what I wanted my new “career” and work to look like. It was time to adjust my perspective and change my mindset. I wanted balance, freedom to make choices, to inspire others, and mostly to find MY BEST ME! I replaced therapy with distance running, a kick-ass life coach and launched With Mrs. My mission is to inspire and share with you what I have learned about investing in yourself, listening to your gut, giving to others, and sharing in a way that inspires you to Choose Joy and Do Hard Things!

The most important question you may ever ask isn’t “How do I do this?”

It’s:

“Will you support me?”

So many of us try to carry everything alone. We convince ourselves we should be able to figure it out, fix it, push through it, or handle it without help.
-
But real transformation rarely happens in isolation.
-
Whether you’re working on your health, your relationships, your mindset, your business, or simply becoming the person you know you’re capable of being, invite others into the journey.
-
Ask for support.
Ask for what you need.
Let people love you.
Let people show up for you.

One of the biggest reasons I created the Build A Life You Love community was so that no Life Builder has to do this alone. We get to learn together, grow together, celebrate together, and support one another through the hard seasons too.

THE BODY KEEPS SCORE. ✔️

I had planned to share a different “ mistake” for today’s post.
-
But life had other plans.
-
Recording this video from bed while dealing with a painful bout of diverticulitis, + it felt dishonest not to talk about the lesson staring me in the face right now.😢
-
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made over the years is believing I could ignore my body’s signals + make up for it later.
-
Skip the water.
Ignore the stress.
Put off the walk.
Push through the fatigue.
Tell myself I’ll get back on track tomorrow.
-
Until one day, tomorrow arrives with consequences.
-
The truth is, our bodies are always communicating with us.
-
And when we ignore the whispers long enough, they eventually become shouts.
-
I knew I felt off. I kept going. For too long.
-
This experience has reminded me that health + wellness isn’t built through massive efforts or occasional bursts of motivation.
-
It’s built through minimum viable habits.
-
The small things.
The boring things.
The things we do consistently enough that they become part of who we are.
-
Because it’s almost always easier to honor our bodies today than it is to repair the damage tomorrow. Trust me. I have learned that the hard way.

Day 4/30 | Building a Life You Love

4 rules I’ve committed to following because they’ve completely changed my life:
-
1. Tell yourself the truth.
2. Stop trying to control everything.
3. Keep small promises to yourself.
4. Take ownership for your life.
-
None of these are flashy.
-
None of them are complicated.
-
And they are not always easy.
-
But over time, they’ve helped me create more peace, confidence, freedom, + alignment than any quick fix ever could.

Building a life you love isn’t about one giant breakthrough.

It’s about the daily choices that shape who you’re becoming.

I used to believe a lot of things that simply aren’t true anymore.
-
I used to believe control would keep me safe.
-
I used to believe changing my circumstances would change my life.
-
I used to believe my peace depended on everyone else being okay.
-
I used to believe my worth had to be earned.
-
I used to believe transformation happened in giant breakthrough moments.
-
I used to believe God was waiting for me to figure it all out.

And….

Experience, faith, failure, healing, and growth changed my mind.
-
The woman I am today is living proof that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is question the stories we’ve been carrying + choose new ones.
