Does your business have more than one location?

What do you think of someone developing a "New River Valley Travel Guide" website, and not having any pictures of the area? I don't mind AI generated images, but when you are specifically trying to attract local businesses and promising a "local vibe", maybe include a picture of the area...

A Blacksburg agency calls itself "the NRV's first design studio" and charges $5,000 to start.

I checked their three named clients. One is a logo job with no live website. One I couldn't connect to any actual work. The third's website has a copyright footer from 2013, built by someone else, eleven years before this agency existed.

Their DesignRush "Top Web Development Company" badge is built on this same client list.

I dug deeper. None of it held up.

A simple custom-built site starts at $100 to set up, plus $25 a month hosting. Add a contact form, admin panel, professional email, whatever you need, and it scales from there. No mystery pricing, no "it depends" without an actual number attached.

I also broke down why some quotes are $300 and others are $3,000 for what looks like the same thing, and what you should actually be asking before you sign anything.
