Hate him all you want. Come up with every excuse you’d like. But I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge Bubba Wallace this weekend.
Bubba was one of the only driver standing as they unloaded the 33 car (8). He stood there visually shaken. He lost a friend and his mentor. Crying, he hugged the 8 team. Any one of them that needed it.
Before practice, bubba walked to the infield and crouched beside the “8” painted in the grass. He sat there for a few moments before hitting the track.
As he left pit road, he slowed his car by pit stall 8.
This is what Kyle meant to so many in the garage, especially to those who owe their careers to him from the KBM days. We feel for the family, and for the drivers. We feel for Bubba, and as a grown ass man… I’m crying with you brother.
