So, if I don't recommend selling a product on Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, or any other platform, then what is there to do?

To start out by selling someone else's product.

Let someone else worry about imports, shipping, management, suppliers, reviews, legal compliance, listing optimization, SEO, customer service, fulfillment, returns, etc....

You just create a good platform to sell their products. This is called Affiliate Marketing.

There are thousands of companies looking for affiliates to help sell their products.

1. Find a product that resonates with you and your personality
2. Make sure is a good product (it can be a program or course as well)
3. Start earning commissions!

Etsy is a beautiful platform. In many ways more forgiving than Amazon. It has way less rules and restrictions. It doesn't have nearly the same amount of users than Amazon. But it is still a very good platform.

However, this platform is not for everybody. I believe that people with more of a hand-made type of product excel better on Etsy. You do have to dedicate a lot of energy in promoting, taking care of customer service, and fulfilling orders.

If you already have a very specific product that is a good fit with Etsy's handmade, craft-type of community then Etsy is for you!

To me Etsy has been a good platform to be able to sell my products on an additional channel. However, the selling volume was not enough for me to consider it really valuable. But everything adds up!

Selling on Amazon is NOT at straight road and it not as easy as some portray. If you are starting out in this digital world, my advice is to NOT start selling by product there.

Selling on Amazon is NOT a strait road. You will find MANY bumps and trouble ahead. My advice, if you are starting out, do not start by selling a product on Amazon.

Let me share with you what I would have LOVED someone told me 7 years ago when I started my online ventures.

Starting out investing your money/time/resources into selling a physical product you are not 100% sure will sell super well, is very risky.

Whether you sell that through Amazon FBA, Etsy, Shopify (or another e.commerce platform), the amount of knowledge that takes:

- Finding a supplier

- Having your product made

- Importing it

- Creating a company (LLC.)

- Creating and opening a digital store

- Learning how to manage it

- Learning how to market it in different platforms and social media outlets

- Investing in ads

- Fulfillment

- Dealing with customer service

- Reviews

- Complaints

- Returns

- Shipping delays (That are out of your control) and frustrated customers

- Business Insurance

- Legal Compliance

- Accounting

- Etc...

It's too much for a person starting out. You will run through your savings and more trying to succeed, and it's not even a warrantee that it will work out for you.

Do you know what your end goal is?

Determine what your end goal is and where are you going. Once you have an end gold, make a plan.

How am I getting there?

Having a mentor that provided me a plan and a strategy, plus helped with the mindset to get there was crucial to my success.

Before finding my mentor, I was desperate trying everything in e.commerce to succeed online. I tried Amazon FBA, Shopify, Etsy, Dropshipping... Without any success. I did endless courses and invested all of my savings and more into trying things that never worked out.

I wish I would have joined Fullstaq 7 years ago and saved all the trouble, struggle, and tears.

So, my dearest star, I ask again, where are you going? What is your goal? What is your plan?

- For e.mails use font size 18
- Double space in between paragraphs
- Bold important words
-Make your content short, sweet, and simple

Yes, you are promoting to your specific audience. But within that audience there are shy people, extroverts, people who love being outdoors, people who are family oriented... etc. So, create different ads to reach to different type of people within your niche/audience.

One of my mentors just shared a piece of advise with me yesterday and I have been thinking about it so much.

Most importantly, I'm taking action.

He said that he would advise himself 10 years ago:

"DON'T OVERTHINK THINGS".

As simple as that...

Sometimes we strive for perfection. So we don't publish a video because "it's not perfect". We don't take action on something because we don't think we are "good enough", or "smart enough".

I encourage you to take action! Every step given is one step closer to where we want to go.
