Yesterday was an amazing morning... woke up 4am and wasn't feeling well, but was important to me to be there.
I spoke as a sexual assault and domestic survivor for the Mujeres Unidas walk run. It's not easy to talk about my past from long ago, but I'm here to speak for the ones are not ready.
Thank you to our Team Kiwanis Club of Edinburg participants and our amazing student Key Club of Volunteers from Edinburg High, Edinburg Collegiate, and Economedes High. They came out early to help with route, cones, water stations.
Also, thanks to my Sister Queens:
Edinburg 2026 Pre-Teen Daniela, Edinburg 2026 Pre-teen Spokesmodel Alexia, 2026 Ms. Edinburg Annette Enrqz with Miss Edinburg Pageants who came out to assist with the Medals.
Congratulations to my sister 2026 Pr***en Spokesmodel, Alexia de la Cerda for placing 3rd and part of Team Kiwanis.
A shout to all the sponsors, runners, walkers, supporters, Mario Fiscal for the amazing pictures, and Cristy Perea with Sports Racing Up to help make this event a success, plus the Staff and Board of Mujeres Unidas.
To our brave Men who also stepped up to Walk in Her Shoes Challenge, you represent awesome.
To all family and friends who have always been there for me. It's been a journey from long ago but I am a Survivor. Never give up!
