Boom! π₯ππΌ
Itβs crazy that the fitness industry still markets βover 50β classes and creates offerings based on age.
The marketing is usually dated and depicts those in this demographic in an uncool way!
The intensity is pitched at a low level, and the βcoolβ fitness offerings use younger people in their campaigns.
The half time show at this yearβs was literally the coolest thing Iβve ever seenβ¦and guess how old the performers wereβ¦
Eminem 49
Mary J Blige 51
50 Cent 46
Snoop 50
Dr Dre 56
They looked fit, healthy and cool as hell!
Some of my fittest clients are in their late 40s and olderβ¦they love being challenged, love intense workouts and have some serious fitness goals that they are working towards.
Age shouldnβt mean we have to wind down when it comes to exercise, especially if we have the desire to try new things and challenge ourselves.
So why is our industry so quick to put people in a different box π¦ as soon as they hit a certain age?
To me, age will always be just a number and shouldnβt define the activities you are nudged towards.
Iβd love to hear your thoughts!
