A working farm on 1,700 acres hugging the Rio Grande and Texas’ border with Mexico, some 40 miles east of El Paso, in the small town of Tornillo, is Sonic Ranch. There’s open desert on all four sides, broken up by rows and rows of pecan orchards.🌳🏜️

Though, Sonic Ranch’s true commodity is the prized music that has emerged from its quiet, no-pressure environment. 🔈🎶

Every inch of studio space is designed with purpose, from the furniture to the colors and designs on the walls and ceilings. Vibrant blue, red, and green carpets complement the hardwood fixtures that shape the tone of each space and contribute to the attitude of every person involved in the process. 🛋️🎨

‘Oh, you know the DJ?’ We know the DJs. 💿😙

In an era where “almost anybody can be a DJ” and male DJs swarm the scene, local female DJs Venus Amor and Anali Sanchez have pledged their loyalty to the dance floor. 🪩🩷

The two have equalized the fem frequency, synthesizing their sound with a need for female representation in El Paso’s live music ecosystem. 👯‍♀️🎶

Syndicate & The Wall, the Sun City’s newest safe words 😉🎵

A techno renaissance is coming to El Paso on the shoulders of two new nightlife venues. For owner Sergio Armendariz, these nightlife destinations are confirmation that years of financial uncertainty in the name of a “community project” were worth the sacrifice.🥳🪩

Syndicate is more than just a bar — it’s a part of a passion project by Armendariz to create a safe space for marginalized communities. 🌎🔗

The Wall is a club and rave warehouse right above Syndicate dedicated to the growth of the electronic music community in El Paso, bringing New York and Berlin techno to the border. 🔊

The Wall opens on March 28, with an inaugural set by New York techno renaissance staple DJ Volvox. 💿

“Viva La Raza” — a phrase cemented into El Paso’s legacy. ✨

In collaboration with clothing brand Civil Regime, Sherilyn Guerrero, daughter of WWE wrestler and El Paso native Eddie Guerrero, presented a new line of Guerrero-themed apparel at local wrestling school Pro Wrestling Legacy. ⭐️🏜️

The phrase “Viva La Raza” was coined by Eddie Guerrero, who left his mark on the industry over two decades ago, leaving a legacy that is now emblazoned by a clothing line. 🤩🇲🇽

Civil Regime worked with WWE to release the limited-edition apparel line, including pieces that are decorated with roses, cybersigilism and even Eddie Guerrero himself. 💪

The project is expected to drop in April to coincide with this year’s WrestleMania weekend. 🤼👕
