Chipsealing Road Work Week of July 27, 2026

The City of Menomonie will be chipsealing several roadways on the south side of the City during the week of July 27, 2026, as shown in the attached maps. This standard maintenance process includes traffic control, street sweeping, spraying of oil, and spreading of chip rock.

Please be prepared for lane closures that will occur during operations. After completion, roadways will have loose rock until fully seated by traffic (or removal by sweeping). Please drive carefully as braking lengths will be extended. Motorcyclists and bicyclists should take special precaution due to the loose rock.

We appreciate your patience with City staff as we complete this important seasonal maintenance!

Voting absentee? Mail your ballot by July 28!

Dunn County Clerk Andrew Mercil is encouraging voters to return absentee ballots well ahead of the August 11 Primary. Some mailed ballots are taking up to two weeks to arrive — so mail yours no later than July 28 to help ensure it’s counted.

You can also return your ballot directly to your municipal clerk, use an official drop box (where available), bring it to your polling place on Election Day, or return it through early in‑person absentee voting.

Remember: Unless you have a disability that prevents you from doing so, you must return your own ballot. For more information about voting, check out myvote.wi.gov
