Are you thinking about getting pet insurance or do you have one?

Most guides won't tell you what vet care actually costs.

I put together a local guide covering:
- What routine and emergency vet care runs around the area
- How plans, deductibles, and waiting periods really work.
- A side by side of 4 providers
- What to check before you sign up

It's independent and written by me, who works in the veterinary industry and has experienced emergency cases of my own. Some links on the page are affiliate links and it's disclosed.

The link to the information will be in the comments, but you can also go onto our website under New Pet Parents > Pet Insurance, is it worth it?

If you're in Elk Grove and travel, work long hours, or have a trip planned, this is a great service to help take care of your pets.

Elk Grove Pet Care has been added to our Boarding, Daycare, Petsitting directory on Vue For Pets. It's an in-home pet sitting team, so your pets can remain comfortable ar their own place. The business is veterinary student owned, which means the team understands animal health and behavior. They're also fully insured and offer multi-day packages for longer trips.

I like having this for times when boarding isn't the right fit for my own pets. Find out more information at our website and directly with Elk Grove Pet Care.

It's prime day!!! Don't miss out on all the prime day exclusive pet deals. Tons of dog food, cat food, dog toys, cat toys, dog food, cat food, grooming supplies, household supplies that are pet friendly. All kinds of pet products to help you save some money.

This is something I do as a pet owner. I stock up major time on food and toys during deals like these and black Friday! It has saved me a ton and whatever I had left, I used to donate it to the shelter.

Is pet insurance worth it? I get asked about it a lot, so I finally wrote down what my experience has actually been.

Short version: I picked Lemonade Pet Insurance because I wanted help with everyday vet stuff, not just emergencies. Sign-up was easy, my claim got approved and reimbursed in less than 3 business days. It's definitely not the cheapest. Whether it's worth it depends on what you want covered.

Full post is of the blog: "Is Lemonade Pet Insurance Worth It? My Honest Experience" on my website and in the comments.

Are you insured for your pet or is it something you're still figuring?

Most of us didn't pick our vet. We just ended up with one.

Maybe it was the closest clinic or the first one in the search, when something felt off about your pet. Sometimes that works out great and sometimes you spend a year wondering if there's a better fit.

I put together a guide on how to choose a vet in Sacramento: what to ask before you book, what to notice at the first visit, red flags to watch for, why you should find your emergency vet beforehand.

Link in the comment section. If you have a vet you love, tell me. I'm building out a local directory and I'd love to hear who Sacramento pet owners trust.
