The Granite State Wedding Network is a group of local wedding professionals looking to connect, celebrate, and elevate the wedding industry talent.

The network approached us to create a logo for this newly founded venture. They needed something that was professional and classy with an obvious nod to New Hampshire. The theme that they ended up landing on was the woodsy aesthetic which the granite state is known for. We created a few different variations of logos, as well as a variety of “seals” (that you would normally see as a wax seal), which could be used as emblems throughout their branding. Check it out!

Based out of Portland, ME, Victoria Bernier is an incredible wedding and lifestyle photographer. She approached me to help her create a new look and feel to her photography brand. Every summer she looks for ways she can improve her business and she felt like the logo she had was in need of a refresh. The brand needed to have a professional and elegant feel to it in order to emphasize the wedding aspect of her work.

The main message communicated was “warm and intentional photography for weddings and lifestyle portraits” and “photography that feels like home.” She also wanted to include pine trees into her logo, referencing her Maine roots 🌲 Check out her work and if you’re in the market for a rebrand, shoot me a DM! After 10+ years working in corporate environments, as both an in-house designer and branding specialist, I have taken the leap into creating my own design house: Dan Hyland Designs. I’ve worked with local businesses to develop their brand identity, like Dogwood Dell, Barrington Groundworks, and the Newburyport Lighthouse.

Complete brand redesign for the !

This was the first time I was able to completely redesign a branding package from start to finish - for this project I created a primary logo, secondary logo, and tagline. (The perfect combination if you’d like to incorporate your branding into merch + social media marketing!)

Fun fact: The Lighthouse Preservation Society was founded by my dad in 1983. This project was near and dear to me and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!

Taking a moment to introduce myself 👋🏼

I’m Dan Hyland - your local creative for all things graphic design, branding, socials management, and website development.

With my degree in graphic design, I love nothing more than helping small business owners bring their dreams to life through branding + logo development, building custom websites, and supporting their marketing needs in any capacity.

After 10+ years working in corporate environments as both an in-house designer and branding specialist, I’m taking the leap into creating my own design house:

You can find me working most days with our French Bulldog, Gunther, at my feet and a homemade maple latte on my desk. When I’m not working, you can find me and my wife trying new restaurants, traveling, or cheering on our favorite New England sports teams.
