A lot of first conversations with a marketing agency feel like a pitch from the first minute. Ours usually don't, and that's on purpose.
What's the current lead flow look like? Where's it actually coming from? What's been tried before, and what happened when it didn't work? Those answers tell us more about what to recommend than any generic questionnaire could, and they take longer than most people expect a "sales call" to take.
Sometimes that conversation ends with us saying the timing isn't right, or the budget doesn't make sense yet, or the problem isn't something we're the right fit to solve, which isn't lost business to us so much as honesty that builds trust even when it doesn't lead to a contract right away.
If you've been putting off a conversation because you assumed it would be a pitch, it probably won't be.
