Hey.

Life has a way of breaking your heart, and this weekend I lost my oh-so-determined, spunky, strong-willed Grandma. I'm oh so very thankful for all our adventures, chats, chaos, crafting, and I look forward to passing all of these on to Penelope. I have a million stories I'll be able to share with her, and I know she'll always have a piece of her. I'm thankful I had such a long time with her and I'm thankful for all the personality traits I got from her.

While loss is never easy and so unpredictable, I know she's finally with my grandpa after so many years apart.

I ask for a little bit of grace as I'm slower to respond to messages, and I appreciate each and every one of you. Busy season doesn't stop because you're grieving.

Hug your loved ones close, and take the pictures. 💕 Penelope and I are snuggled in her pretty hand-crocheted blankets today and every day.

Love you, Grandma Kay. Til we see each other again. Give Grandpa a hug and kiss from me.

Okay but like... getting to photograph my wedding couples through all the different seasons of their lives has to be one of the best gifts of being a photographer. 🥹

Getting to see them go from engagement session awkwardness to wedding day to growing their families is just so freaking special.

Baby Serena did AMAZING for her newborn session. And her parents?! 😍 Absolute perfection.
