OUR LEADER
Highbird Hollow was born from the vision of Duffy, a trained graphic designer with more than twenty years of creative mastery and over three decades of leadership in management, client relationship management, and operations. As Founder and CEO, he leads the studio with a rare blend of artistic intuition, technical skill, and operational precision — shaping a design house that exists in the liminal space where craft becomes ritual.
Duffy’s creative journey spans magazines, children’s books, bands, churches, charities, and retail brands. His expertise includes layout, typography, branding systems, visual merchandising, and customer‑centered design. With certifications in Management, Customer Service, Communications, Business Consulting, Event Planning and Logistics, he approaches design as both a discipline and a form of care.
But Highbird Hollow is not just a studio — it is a world.
It is shaped in the space where worlds overlap, the threshold where ideas slip through cracks in reality and take form. At its center stands the Moonwell, a sacred portal revered in Celtic and Czech folklore — a place where visions rise from deep water and meet the sky. Above it circles the Highbird, the ancestral sky‑messenger, carrying symbols, stories, and whispers from beyond.
This mythology is not decoration; it is the foundation of Duffy’s creative philosophy.
Here, creativity is not manufactured; it is summoned. Every design begins as a flicker in the in‑between — a shimmer of moonlight on water, a feather drifting across a portal, a symbol waiting to be revealed. Highbird Hollow blends sky‑magic and water‑magic, intuition and craft, and ancestral memory. Duffy’s operational expertise ensures that this magic is supported by systems that protect imagination rather than restrict it.
Beyond his professional achievements, Duffy is a passionate advocate for LGBTQIA2S+ rights and a vocal ally in raising awareness about historic and ongoing cultural genocides. His leadership is rooted in equity, visibility, and the belief that justice and representation belong at the center of every creative endeavor.
This is design as ritual. Design as revelation. Designs born in the Hollow between worlds — guided by a founder who knows how to navigate both.
