I am currently working through a huge stack of business cards for a client and helping him connect with the people he has met on LinkedIn.

There is now a separate pile for the people and companies we cannot find on LinkedIn. We have not even started searching the other social platforms yet.

I would like to think we know a thing or two about marketing 😂 and if we cannot find you or your company, there is a good chance your customers, referral partners, and professional connections cannot find you either.

I am not quite sure how “let’s stay hidden” became a marketing strategy, but it is probably not the key to growth.

Yes, you should be on LinkedIn. Yes, your business should be on LinkedIn. Both pages should be current and clearly show who you are, what you know, and how you help.

Eleva Ease offers LinkedIn workshops for companies that want to help their employees build stronger profiles and use LinkedIn more effectively. Contact us to learn more.

When we give out AI tips & tricks here is one that most people don't know about
When you're writing a prompt, tell AI what month and year it is.

It seems simple, but it can completely change the quality of the response.

Think about everything that's changed just since the beginning of this year.

AI models.

Google updates.

Social media algorithms.

Laws and regulations.

Tax codes.

Platform features.

Industry best practices.

If you're asking AI for the "latest" information, don't make it guess what latest means.

Instead, start your prompt with something like:

"As of July 2026..."

That one small change gives AI more context and helps you get information that's relevant to today, not advice that may have been accurate months or even years ago.

This is especially important if you work in a highly regulated industry like healthcare, finance, legal, insurance, HR, or real estate, where rules and regulations can change quickly.

The more context you give AI, the better the response you'll receive.

Sometimes the smallest changes to your prompt make the biggest difference.

It's not 2016 anymore.

You don't need 15 hashtags on every post. Honestly, even 9 is a bit much.

Not only can a wall of hashtags make your marketing look outdated, but it can also work against you.

Today's platforms understand natural language. Google indexes public social content, and AI-powered search is changing how people discover businesses. Your caption, keywords, and the value you provide matter far more than stuffing your posts with hashtags.

And while we're at it...

Stop putting hashtags on your photos and videos.
If you're adding text to an image, make it count.

Use that space for:
✔️ A headline or caption
✔️ A call to action
✔️ Your location or service area
✔️ A helpful tip or key takeaway
✔️ Your branding (when appropriate)

Every word on your graphic should serve a purpose.
A handful of relevant hashtags? Great.

A giant block of hashtags? Leave that in 2016.

If you're not sure whether your marketing is keeping up with today's best practices, let's chat.

If your website was updated last year, it’s probably already out of date.

The internet moved fast before, but now with AI search, the rules are being rewritten every few months. If you’re still trying to win the traffic game by keyword-stuffing blogs or doing basic SEO, hate to say it but that's not working anymore.

Between Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), the bots are looking for actual authority.

Here is how you build it now:

Don't just copy and paste what an AI spits out: Seriously, this is your brand we're talking about. If a bot can write your entire article in 4 seconds, why would a human waste 4 minutes reading it? (And yes, irony aside, search AI is getting incredibly good at spotting and burying lazy, AI-generated drivel - and so are your potential clients).

Get hyper-specific: General knowledge is a commodity now. Your value lies in your unique perspective, real case studies, and the actual mistakes you’ve made and solved.

Upgrade your social proof: While written reviews are great, video testimony will always be king. Seeing a real human face talk about how you changed their business is something a text-based AI bot simply cannot replicate—but it will notice the engagement it brings.

The tools are changing, but the goal is the same: be the most trusted answer on the internet.

When was the last time your website was actually updated? Let’s talk in the comments. ⬇️

Ok, Zuck probably does not personally hate your graphics.
Probably.
(But hey, we do not know what he thinks about in his spare time)

What we do know is that Meta absolutely cares about the quality of what gets posted. Honestly, so should you.

If something is going out under your company name, it should look like your company actually cares.

Organic reach is already limited. That is why so many businesses turn to ads.

But ads are not magic. There is a catch.

If your ad looks rushed, your graphic is blurry, your copy sounds like it was copied and pasted from AI, or your message feels like every other business online, your budget can feel it.

Poor creative can lead to:

Higher cost per click.
Lower engagement.
Weaker performance.
Less trust from the people seeing it.

And no, Meta is not sitting there thinking, “Aww, they tried.”

It is an ad platform.
It will take your money either way.

Stop treating your graphics and copy like an afterthought.

Your creative matters.
Your message matters.
Your strategy matters.

And if you are going to pay to get in front of people, make sure what they see is actually worth stopping for.

Need help creating ads that do more than just exist?
That is where we come in.
Marketing strategy, creative direction, and ad support that goes beyond “just boost it.”

Can you tell which logo belongs to a roofer, a realtor, and a mortgage company?
Neither can anyone else. And that's exactly the problem.

We see the Nike swoosh — it doesn't say shoes or clothes. When we see Starbucks, we just know coffee.

But somewhere along the way, businesses started thinking their logo needed to explain what they do. So every roofer has a roof. Every realtor has a house. Every mortgage company has... also a house.

And now nobody stands out. But you hire a marketing agency to then try and make you stand out. See the problem?
Your logo isn't a description. It's a feeling. What do you want your potential clients to feel when they see your logo?

So here's the real question — what are you actually selling?

Are you selling a service? A product? Are you selling luxury? A lifestyle? An experience?
What do you want to be known for? What makes your company different?

Because that is what your logo should make people feel. Not explain. Feel.

This post has now taken us a few weeks to rewrite.
Every time we get the graphic just right we need to update the numbers.

Want to feature one of our clients: Cartel Golf. We handle a few of their marketing needs. One that was just added a little over a month ago was Pinterest.
(and yes we still get questioning looks that we still utilize this platform)

In a little over 1 month we went from a starting point of:
just over 800 views to over 8k
They are now a verified merchant
Unlike other platforms one of the goals of Pinterest is to leave the platform- and we saw that rise as well.
Considering Pinterest is a long haul platform we are not upset at all

We should mention this is with 2 pins a day, and no running ads currently.
Can't wait to see where this traction leads to in a few months and longer!
