Here is a website I just finished up for a client. Shepherd’s Heart Ministry needed a website optimized for helping people request help fast when a tree falls on their house during a storm.

Shepherd’s Heart is an RSO of the LCMS that has been an integral part of LCMS Disaster Response efforts for well over a decade now helping after huge storms like Hurricanes Ian and Harvey. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rev Ed Brashier since 2014. A good man, with a big heart and the know how to get things done!

I’m building a Generic Church Website to use as an example to navigate through in sales meetings and I need help picking church staff for the about us pages.

Who should be in these positions
1. Senior Pastor
2. Associate/Assistant Pastor
3. Organist
4. Secretary
5. The Superstar volunteer who you’d love to pay but refuses to take payment

Think about Christians from History that fit these roles well to make our dream team church staff.

Why should you consider a monthly maintenance plan for your website? Because for a low monthly rate, you can have me address problems and make changes quickly.

One of my clients, released his new book on Amazon yesterday and asked what the best way to add a button to his personal website would be.

Less than 20 minutes later, his homepage is selling his book.

This was a fun website to work on! It’s a great Church in the heartlands of the The American Association of Lutheran Churches that’s had some great pastors but the website hasn’t been updated for a while.

I went with a radically simple website design.

This strategy is great if you:

1. Don’t have a lot of pictures
2. Want to clearly communicate what you believe
3. Need to Clearly show your Service times and Event calendar

We have it set up so they can add their Sermon Archive or Livestreams easily in the future if they’d like but can get along just fine without it.

But this site will be easy for any church secretary to maintain and easy for visitors to find the information they need!

A lot of churches have a card for requesting prayers, but have you considered adding a form to your website?

Ask me about setting up a confidential Prayer Request page on your existing site that will make it easy for your flock to request pastoral care from you.

Some churches that have added prayer request forms have even reported receiving requests from non-members who found them by searching for local churches on the internet. This could be a great way to make connections in your community.

Today I’m thankful for my first Monday to dedicate to this business in over 3 months.

Thanks to an increase in sales, I was able to quit my weekend job freeing up 3 extra days a week to work on web and communications services.
