I’ve been quiet about AI and design… Not because I don’t have opinions-I have a lot of them-but because the conversation has been nonstop and honestly pretty noisy.

So here’s where I actually land: and I can generate a logo in seconds ✅ but generating isn’t design. Design is strategy, problem-solving and communication! It’s knowing what a brand needs to say to its audience before touching a single tool, and it’s working with the client to figure out what they want exactly.

Sure, you can give an AI a vague prompt and generate a logo, but that logo is just going to be as vague and generic as the prompt. Every single time.

That’s why human-made still wins, and always will. Not because it’s more beautiful-though it is-but because there’s a real person behind it who listened, pushed back, and actually built a full identity package from the strategy up.

Nobody asked, but I don’t care. This is my finished piece of ’s workshop.

I giggle every time I look at this and will 1000% be printing this piece. I mean look at the little peeps people-watching and having fun!! It’s so cute!

Yeah, I spent the last week launching a font. Now, I’m spending this week making art. 🍊
Workshop Week has me fully in my feelings and my sketchbook — and honestly? this is exactly why i do what i do.

But also, can i just be vulnerable about why I’m almost purely a digital artist? Because as you can see, I can’t draw a straight line or write a readable letter with my own hand. (Also, why I made my font) However, I’m trying. I keep on trying because failure is 89.9999% part of being an artist. It’s also why I keep coming back to : push my limits and discover new ways to create!

Blob Doodle Art session from and has been the highlight of my day! I am obsessed with this fun exercise. There are no wrong answers! Agh, so fun! Totally addictive and will be adding to my daily practice!

Currently working on: the stuff nobody posts about. 🙃

I’m deep in my design resource library right now — organizing assets, labeling references, building out systems that future-me can actually find in under thirty seconds. Not glamorous. Not pretty. Absolutely necessary.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you about the slow season: it’s not wasted time if you use it right. Every folder I organize, every reference I label, every system I build is shaving time off future projects — which means sharper work, faster turnarounds, and a designer who isn’t frantically digging through seventeen folders called “finals” looking for the right file.

The unsexy admin work IS the strategy. It’s just wearing sweatpants and refusing to be photographed.
If you’ve got a messy asset folder and a guilty conscience about it — hi, same, and we’re fixing it. 🫡

Real talk: the version you see in my portfolio isn’t version one. It’s not even version three. 😂

Trial and error is just... the process. The sketch that was almost right. The concept that made total sense in my head and zero sense on screen. The moment you scrap an hour of work because something felt off and you can’t unknow that.

It’s not glamorous, but it’s how good work actually gets made. Every “wrong” version teaches me something about the project, the client, and honestly, myself as a designer.
