A friendly reminder from Frisco Police Department...if you operate an alarm (monitored or not) at your home or business in Frisco, with the intent to summon an emergency service of the city, an alarm permit is required. That permit must be renewed annually.

🎉 Announcement… And the Frisco Chamber of Commerce 2025 Ambassador of the Year goes to… Rebecca Landry! 🎉

Rebecca is so incredibly deserving of this title. Since I’ve known her, she has attended literally hundreds of ribbon cuttings. She volunteers monthly, and often weekly, at our networking events with Chamber Works and WEB. She’s the kind of person who asks to help before there’s even a need.

When our traditional annual Ambassador party was canceled, Rebecca didn’t hesitate. She stepped up, organized it herself, and even funded last year’s celebration to make sure our Ambassadors were honored. That’s just who she is!!

And one more thing, because it speaks volumes about her heart, Rebecca recently donated funds to install a water well in a village in Northern Uganda. That single act will add an estimated 10–15 years of life and improved health to that community. So, every time you book a trip with her business, Travel, you’re not just planning a vacation, you’re helping change lives around the world.

Rebecca, you are truly one in a million. It’s an honor to celebrate you, and an even greater honor to call you my friend.

Last year I was honored to receive the Ambassador of the Year award (for 2024)at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala, voted on by my fellow Ambassadors. This is such a fond memory 🥰.
It has truly been a privilege to carry the title this past year, and I’m so grateful for the friendships, connections, and opportunities that came with it.
Tonight, I’m excited to see who will be crowned next! 👑 It’s such a special honor, and I can’t wait to celebrate the next incredible Ambassador. Stay tuned…

Before things get really dicey, know where your home’s water shut-off is (usually in the front yard). If a pipe bursts, shutting it off quickly can reduce damage. A water key works best, but common household tools can work in a pinch—turn the valve 180 degrees. Fast shut-off = less damage.
To help prevent pipes from freezing, drip your faucets and leave sink cabinet doors open. Stay safe, and stay prepared!
