The reason behind my small break 💚

Today, my husband left for the Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico for the next 6 months. Watching him swear in today was a moment I’ll never forget. He is absolutely the most dedicated husband and dad, always putting our family first and striving for the best. The next 6 months are going to be tough without him home, but we are so ridiculously proud of him. Count down starts now! 🇺🇸✨

Now on to Banners! Have you missed me? I may be making a come back soon, I just can’t be away from my brushes. I’ll post as soon as I’m accepting orders, I absolutely can’t wait to create for you. 🥹💛

Talk about a full-circle moment. 🥺🎨

When I first created The Motherlode Banners, it all started as a simple DIY project for my daughter’s 1st birthday, a Ms. Rachel theme banner that turned into making 4 banners for 1 birthday.🫣

I never could have imagined how many birthdays, milestones, and special celebrations you all would allow me to be a part of along the way.

Now, as my family packs up to move and I prepare to step back for a little break, my very last banner before packing away my brushes is another Ms. Rachel 1st birthday piece—this time for sweet Luciana! ☀️💕

I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful piece to wrap up this chapter on. To everyone who has trusted me with your special events, shared my posts, and supported this small stay at home mom hobby: thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💖

Brushes are officially resting for now, but the memories mean everything! ✨

Second-to-last banner in progress before the paint brushes get packed away for our move to New Braunfels! 📦🎨

I will be holding down the fort (and mug!) with my mother in law while my husband is up in New Mexico for Border Patrol training for the next 6 months. I am a so deeply grateful for his endless drive to better himself so I can continue staying home with our sweet girls.

Once he graduates, we will be moving once again. I did decide to put up the paint brushes for the next 6 months, but honestly I’m not sure I’ll be able to hold out for that long so I am trying to figure out how & where I can paint without making holes in my mother in laws walls. So I will keep you updated on that and will post as soon as I’m accepting orders again. 🥹❤️
