Lisa Stroth VO:The Voice Of Encouragement Using my voice as an audiobillboard for your product, project, or service, engaging your audience. If you have a message that needs a voice, let's connect!

Your message/story/brand is important to you, & making sure your target audience is engaged, encouraged, educated, empowered & prompted to act related to it is important to me. I use my voice as a tool, providing engaging voiceover/voicing, & conversational narration to act as an “audiobillboard” for your product, project, or service. After nearly 25 years in the health science & healthcare indust

ry in toxicology, physical therapy, & physical therapy education, God “transplanted” me into the voiceover industry. In 2015, I founded Vocally Yours, LLC, and began to to live God’s purpose for my life by using my voice to engage, encourage, educate, & empower. My voiceover services have been a tool for:
• Engaging training & education
• Inspiration & motivation
• The potential to realize more positive responses to calls to action, & improved retention of educational & training material. I am a Certified Medical Narration Specialist, & combined with my education & healthcare background, am well-qualified to provide narration for healthcare communication & marketing projects. I also provide voicing for
• eLearning
• Corporate training
• Marketing videos
• Phone messaging systems/message on hold
• Non-fiction audiobooks

I have a special interest in faith-based projects, & want to glorify God by using my voice to encourage & empower others with His Word & with the life changing message it brings. This special interest led to the creation of a ministry-based business called The Voice For Purpose. This business allowed me to further develop and utlize my creative giftings, writing devotional pieces and creating products and speaking to encourage others to embrace their identity in Christ and to step out in faith into their God-given purpose. After years in both voiceover and ministry work, I felt God asking me to bring it all together. So I’m merging purpose and profession, with a special focus on narrating faith-based projects, and still offering engaging and motivating voiceover for corporate training, marketing, IVR/phone messaging, and small business needs. Whether it’s scripture or a sales message, I give every word the clarity it deserves.

I have this dry erase board on the wall in my bathroom. On it, I've written several of my favorite bits of scripture, and some scripture-based truths from one of my favorite Christian authors/speakers, Susie Larson. I look at them just about every day as I'm getting ready and appreciate that they are true regardless of what may be happening in my life or in the world.

Some days, like today, I pray them back to the Lord, and my heart is encouraged and filled with gratitude for what He's doing in my life, and humble anticipation for what He has planned.

Do any of these verses resonate with you? Are there verses that are particularly meaningful in your life? I would love for people to share those verses!

When Hope Shows Up In Unexpected Places, Day 4

What if the struggle you’re in right now is strengthening the wings you'll need to fly?

Over the past few posts I’ve been sharing reflections on hope. What it looks like when life feels uncertain, when the road is difficult, and when we’re waiting on God.

The story in this short video that I wrote and narrated talks of someone who felt she was losing hope, and she asked the Holy Spirit to help her remember what hope felt like. He did just that with a dream of a butterfly emerging from her cocoon.

In the dream, she could feel the pain and difficulty of the emerging process, but the Holy Spirit reminded her that it was necessary. You see, a butterfly cannot fly without first struggling out of the cocoon.

Without the struggle, the butterfly would never develop the strength it needs to rise into the air.

The truth is that sometimes God allows seasons in our lives that feel like that cocoon - tight, uncomfortable, and difficult.

But those moments may be doing something far greater than we can see.

They may be strengthening the very wings we’ll need for the calling ahead. If you are in a difficult space right now, I pray this encourages you to surrender to hope.

🦋 Even in the struggle… hope is at work.

When Hope Shows Up in Unexpected Places, Day 3

If you step outside early in the morning before the sun rises, you may notice something beautiful.

It often begins with a single bird.
Then another joins.
And another.

Within a few minutes the trees are filled with song.

In an article I read a few weeks ago, it said that scientists call this the "dawn chorus."

According to the article, birds sing most intensely at dawn because the air is cooler, denser, and calmer than at any other time of day. Sound travels farther through still morning air, and their songs carry much farther than they would later in the day.

But there’s something else I’ve noticed.

In those early moments, when everything is quiet, it’s easy to recognize the individual birds.

A robin starts.
A cardinal joins.
Then perhaps a sparrow.

Each one has its own song, and in the stillness you can hear them separately.

Later in the day, when the wind picks up and the sounds of life begin, (cars passing, doors closing, people talking) the birds are still singing, but their songs blend into the background. It becomes harder to hear them clearly.

The birds didn’t stop singing.
The environment simply changed.

Sometimes life feels like that.

When circumstances of life are loud and busy, it can feel as though God is silent or distant. We pray and wonder if He hears us or if our prayers are somehow getting lost in the noise.

But God hasn't stopped listening. Perhaps the problem is that the noise around us has simply made His voice harder for us to hear.

Think about the difference between two conversations.

One takes place in a quiet little cafe over a cup of coffee. The other happens in a crowded, bustling diner.

In the quiet cafe, the conversation feels personal and easy. You don’t have to strain to hear the other person’s voice. In the noisy diner, you may have to raise your voice just to be heard, and even then you might miss parts of the conversation.

Not because either person stopped speaking, but because the environment changed.

Maybe that’s one reason Scripture invites us ito "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10). The Hebrew word translated “be still” doesn’t simply mean to sit quietly. It carries the idea of letting g. Of releasing our grip. Of ceasing to strive.

In other words, the invitation isn’t just to become physically quiet. It’s an invitation to stop fighting so hard to control everything. To loosen our grip on the worries and questions swirling around us. To surrender the noise inside our hearts and minds long enough to remember who God is. And perhaps when that kind of stillness settles in, His voice becomes easier to recognize- much like the birds singing at dawn, whose individual songs are clear and beautiful in the quiet morning air.

Hope sometimes shows up in unexpected places… even in the quiet moments of an early morning.

When Hope Shows Up in Unexpected Places, Day 2

A few months ago, the little plant in the photo below looked like it might just be on its last leg.

One morning I walked into the room where it "lived" and saw that it was completely drooped over. The leaves were limp and sad, and I wondered if I had waited too long to water it. I usually watered it once a week, but the house had been a bit drier than usual, so it was certainly possible that it needed more frequent attention.

I checked the soil, gave it some extra water, and waited.

By the end of that day, nothing had changed, and I began to wonder if it was too late.

But by the end of the second day, my little plant had returned to its healthy, green, and beautiful self again.

Sometimes life is like that.

Sometimes the people around us are like this little plant - drooping, weary, and running on empty. The usual things that sustain them just aren’t quite enough for the season they’re in.

Maybe life has simply taken more out of them than usual.

Maybe they just need a little more love.

More encouragement.
More listening.
More prayer.
More patience.
More grace.

I have noticed that this is how God cares for me when life has drained the strength out of me. He reaches into the dry places with His presence and His Word and patiently waits for my heart to respond.

And often, He does that through the people He places in my life.

I wonder what would happen if we all looked for opportunities to “water” the people around us this way.

I suspect the world might feel just a little kinder and gentler.

And that’s a lovely thought.

Maybe sometimes hope shows up in unexpected places like a little extra water, a patient heart, and a reminder to remain grateful and blessed.

When Hope Shows Up in Unexpected Places Day 1...

🌼 The daffodil didn’t seem to notice that the weather still felt like winter.

Sometimes the first sign of a new season appears before the weather changes.

The daffodils in our yard bloomed right around the first day of spring, but the weather didn’t feel like spring.

When I took the picture below, the cold wind was blowing against my face, and the little daffodil looked like it was shivering.

The daffodil didn’t care.

The truth is, the earth’s rotation says spring has arrived, so the daffodil blooms.

Sometimes our walk with the Lord looks a little like that.

When circumstances are difficult, it may feel like we are walking alone in the dark. But the truth is that God’s Word tells us that we can take courage because He is with us wherever we go. (Joshua 1:9)

When our hearts feel afraid, the truth is that we can experience the peace only Jesus offers when we keep our eyes on Him and pray. (Phil 4:7)

When the waiting feels interminable, the truth is that God’s timing and His ways are still perfect, and still for our good. (Jer 29:11)

When we feel insignificant, the truth is that He knows every hair on our heads. We matter to Him. The Creator of the universe has thoughts of us that outnumber the grains of sand! (Psalm 139)

When circumstances feel hopeless, the truth is that Jesus has already overcome the world. (John 16:33)

When we are too tired to fight, the truth is that the Lord fights for us. (Exodus 14:14)

And when we feel unloved or unlovable, the truth is that Jesus died and rose again so we could be redeemed and reconciled to our Heavenly Father. (John 3:16, Colossians 1:20-22, Romans 5:10, Titus 2:14, Eph 2:16).

In the dark of heavy circumstances, when prayers feel unheard or unanswered or the answers aren’t what we expected, God, in His grace, often sends reminders of the hope we have in Him:

A visit from a friend.

Words in a song.

A message that feels as though the pastor looked directly into your life and spoke straight to your heart.

The quiet whisper of the Holy Spirit reminding you of the truth in Scripture and the ways God has already shown His faithfulness.

🌼Or sometimes, the bright yellow bloom of a daffodil, shivering in the wintery wind, quietly declaring that spring has arrived.

Lately it seems like many people are looking for hope.

Not necessarily because they feel completely hopeless, but because something feels "off."

Life doesn’t quite look the way they imagined.

The world feels uncertain.

The future feels harder to see than it used to.

Even people of faith sometimes feel this tension.

We know what we believe.
We know where hope ultimately comes from.

And yet, sometimes we still need reminders.

The beautiful thing is that God often places those reminders right in front of us, in the ordinary details of life.

Sometimes hope shows up in unexpected places.

Over the next few days I want to share a few simple reminders about hope that I’ve been noticing in everyday life. I invite you to join me, and hope that you'll be encouraged if you do.

(I've posted Day 1 today because I'm too excited to wait until tomorrow to share it🥰).

Sometimes circumstances can be both beautiful and inconvenient, depending on a person's perspective. For instance, I do not like driving in snow. Not even a little bit of snow. And if I have to be out and about, headed to or from work or picking up needed supplies, I find the snow to be completely inconvenient.

But when I'm safe and warm inside, I enjoy watching the snow fall and create lovely, picturesque scenes that feel peaceful and serene.

When I feel like complaining about the inconvenience of the snow, I remind myself of the beauty and the feeling of peace it brings and am grateful.

Most of the time, we have a choice in life to focus on the negative or to find a reason to be grateful. It's really all about perspective.
