Yesterday marked MSC's completion of the BIGI (Build it Grow it) program alongside my colleague and friend Michelle from 1826!

Not only was this program great for business owners, it was also great to connect with likeminded people who are motivated to be more than just another statistic. The Galena area has brought me so many business friends and connections that I'm forever thankful for.

Earlier this week, we had an unforgettable experience during our collaboration with Tacktics and Gradient! Not only was our training session fun, insightful, and informational but as you can see from this photo, the experience left us with a lasting impression. How amazing is it that horses can hear both mine and our baby’s heartbeat 🥹!? It was a beautifully captured moment.

We’ve had a great start to our season, including this special moment!

Last night we had a corporate training course and one of the members was pregnant.

One of the cool things about horses is that they can hear our heart beat. Therefore, they can hear when there’s 2 in 1 person!

Being the emotionally in-tune beings they are, the herd welcomed Michelle in with gentleness and spent much of the night resting their foreheads near her baby (as Koha is pictured doing here).

This is not uncommon behaviour for them around pregnant women, they typically will become extra gentle and even protective of the expecting mother, even though she’s human.

We are grateful to have been awarded the grant from the Genz Small Business Development Fund. This grant has given us the opportunity to purchase new equipment, which will only help us be more creative in our work and better serve our community and clients with the services we provide.

A huge shoutout to the NW Illinois Economic Development and the Genz Fund Committee for awarding us this grant and believing in our business. We cannot describe how much your support means to us! Also, we would like to thank Justin at the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Sauk Valley Community College. He has been a great resource and wealth of knowledge for our business.
