Health care in our region is at a pivotal moment.

Tomorrow morning, leaders from across hospitals, health systems, research institutions, and health technology organizations will gather for the Albany Business Review Power Breakfast: Health Care in Transition. The topic could not be more timely.

Across New York and the Capital Region, healthcare organizations are navigating enormous shifts:
- workforce shortages and recruitment challenges
- financial pressures on hospitals and providers
- rapid changes in digital health and data exchange
- evolving patient expectations around access and experience
- the growing importance of collaboration across systems and community partners

At the same time, organizations are being asked to do something incredibly difficult: transform while continuing to deliver exceptional care.

What makes gatherings like tomorrow’s important is that they bring together a diverse group of leaders — from clinical leadership and hospital administration to healthcare technology and policy — all focused on the same question:
How do we move healthcare forward together?

Many nonprofit leaders I speak with right now are facing the same quiet challenge.

Not a lack of passion.
Not a lack of important work.
