Real talk wins.

At LeadCLE, we helped a local brewery in Downtown Geneva grow by keeping it simple.

We ran ads and posted stories that showed real people and real conversations. No fancy tricks.

The result? Engagement went up by over 200%, and people started sending RSVP to events over a month out. (And yes, we excluded traffic from the Jambo).

The result is clear- People like to hear from real folks. When your business shows up like a neighbor, people notice.

Want the same for your business? Grab your free marketing blueprint from LeadCLE today.

Ever notice those bright videos?

The ones could land a space shuttle from orbit?

The ones that could tan your eyeballs, that you discover scrolling in a dark room?

If you want to know the secret, it’s scummy marketers adding HDR to their photos and videos.

Your phone screen can shine WAY brighter than its brightness settings. But how?

HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range," which is just fancy talk for "the bright parts get to be extra bright."

When a video is made with HDR, Facebook lets it blast at full power, so it glows next to all the normal posts. And smartphones want to make the colors accurate; so they pump up the light to do so- usually increasing the perceived brightness by around 3x.

How do people do it? (And we don’t recommend you do it).

1. Shoot in HDR. Most newer phones have an HDR video or photo setting in the camera. Flip it on.

2. Edit in an app that supports it. Apps like CapCut, Lightroom, and Instagram's editor have HDR export options or "brightness boost" tools.

3. Upload it the right way. Facebook needs the file to be saved as HDR. If it isn't, it just looks normal.

Warning: your eyes may need sunglasses at 2 a.m.

You don't need to be on every social media platform.

Seriously. Somebody convinced all these emerging business owners to post daily on six apps.

Great job, Captain content- now your TikTok exists for reasons nobody remembers (along with a password no one remembers).

Here's the better plan:

1. Pick the one platform that fits what you're good at.

2. Post on a schedule you can actually keep. If you miss a day, you miss a day. Do your best and get consistent at it.

3. Keep your website and Google listing up to date. Especially with holiday hours.

One strong platform beats five sad ones. And silence online looks a lot like being closed.

Not sure where your business should focus?

That's what we do at LeadCLE. Send us a message and let's figure it out.

For October, we have renewed our 10 free business blueprints.

We send you a free roadmap, you can choose us or hand it to someone else.

This is where we stop being “marketers” for clicks and engagement, and embrace our honest, sincere selves.

Every decision that we make as parents, as business owners, as dog moms and dads- as people- It has a profound impact on our community.

Looking at every single business that is here for the Grape Jamboree, one thing is apparent.

There are a host of volunteers that helped this become one of the best marketplaces for fun, for friends, and for an entire region to come together and celebrate the harvest season.

For over half a decade, we have flocked to Downtown Geneva to celebrate a simple Grape harvest. And all it brings to our region.

The young girl looking through this Lake Erie Bookstore window (Reese’s Drugstore) in this photo is a fifth-generation descendent of the people who started the Grape Jamboree.

This weekend would not be possible without the volunteers, the Jamboree committee, and those who take the time to make this a festival that is done right.

You guys knocked it out of the park this year.

Local artists took to the events page of the Grape Jamboree, and decided that they were going to take a positive stance against generative AI. The collaborators grabbed events off of the main stage, and the different events operating downtown during the Grape Jamboree 🍇

The results are incredible. Each one of these was made by Geneva Grad.

Some are digital, some are hand-drawn. All were made intentionally by the hand of a human being.

Please share their work far and wide. If you copy and paste it somewhere else, all we ask is that you also attribute it to the artist that is in the caption.

When the machine doesn’t have good information, it doesn’t say “I don’t know.” It guesses. It might pull an old phone number. It might use hours from three summers ago. It might mix you up with a place in Geneva, Illinois.

Let’s say you own a shop on South Broadway. Or you run a winery out on Route 307. Or maybe you fix cars, cut hair, bake pies, or pour b**r for people who just came off the beach. And let’s say you have never once used AI. You don’t want to. You think AI is […]

Take the “LLC” out. Now.

It matters more than you'd think.

"LLC" tells people how you're legally structured.

Most customers aren’t looking for that.

It doesn't tell them who you are or what you do.

On a sign, a business card, a website, or even a Google search, it's just extra clutter standing between your name and your customer.

A few reasons small businesses in Geneva and Ashtabula County should think about this:

It's easier to remember and say out loud.

"Go check out LeadCLE" beats "go check out LeadCLE, L-L-C."

It's way cleaner for local search. People don't type "LLC" when they're looking for you on Google or Facebook, so your name shouldn't need it to be recognized.

It reads as a brand, not just a business filing. Your LLC status still exists on paper (contracts, taxes, insurance), but it just doesn't need to live on your storefront or your logo.

Your legal name and your brand name can be two different things. One protects you. The other is what people fall in love with.

If your business name still has "LLC" on social media, it’s doing double duty as your brand.

Let's talk about it.
