Today is National Lighthouse Day! We love celebrating at Bauman Research (see our logo!). It was on August 7, 1789 when Congress approved an Act for the establishment and support of lighthouses, beacons, buoys and public piers. I found this article about how Amazon is a "writing culture" fascinating. As someone who does a lot of writing, and a lot of presentations in PowerPoint, I understand how the "narrative" can be lost in a presentation. That's why we strive to create deliverables that can live on beyond the presenter, so that the insights, ideas and strategies can be understood and embraced by anyone who picks it up. But it's not just words that convey impact but visuals and data because not all people are verbal learners. A superior deliverable should cater to ALL types of learners and do so equally effectively.
