It all depends on who you believe in. Do you believe in the father of lies who’s mission is to steal, kill, and destroy? Or will you believe in the Father who loves you enough to send His only Son to die for you? By the blood of Christ, the battle is won, it is finished! The only power the enemy has is to try and make you forget that ultimate truth.
So, who will you believe in? Will you live as a victim or a victor? I choose the truth!

Do you truly believe that you are free? Because the Bible says that it is for freedom that you have been set free. So do not believe the lie of the enemy that you are still a slave to shame, works, or any sin. Jesus died to put to death these things. So, believe it, accept it, and walk in it! Be free indeed!!

“I AM… WHOLE.”

On our own, we are broken, flawed, and will always come short. But more than that, each of us have a God-sized shape hole in our hearts that only He can fill. We can spend our entire lives trying to fill that hole with success or even with the love from other people. But, it is only when we recognize our NEED for Him and let Him enter into our hearts that we can truly be filled, content, and yes WHOLE.
Please accept this gift (if you have not already) that He is just waiting to give you!

Happy New Year!
Every new year my church challenges us to find a word or a phrase that best defines what God is wanting each of us to focus on for this next year. I want to challenge you to do the same! Really press in and ask God to show you what lens He wants you to have as you journey through this next year. This will help you be more intentional with the Lord and will also bring growth in your walk with Him. If your word or phrase just so happens to be one of the words you find posted here, let me know:)

“I AM… NOT ALONE.”

A lot of people have heard the great commission given by Jesus just before He ascended into Heaven, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” However, most people don’t include the very next sentence even though I believe it is the key to fulfilling this task He has given us, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jesus sees and knows our need for Him. Even as He is departing to be reunited with the Father, He promises to be with us always. He accomplishes this by sending the Holy Spirit. This way He can be with all of us all the time and is not just limited to being one man at one place at a time.
So, do we have this hope? Do we truly embrace the amazing truth that we are never alone, and that the Lord Almighty is with us always? May this give you hope and encouragement, and may you never forget, “You are NOT ALONE.”

“I AM… FORGIVEN.”

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”

Because of Jesus we have received the ultimate gift, complete forgiveness of our sins. No conditions, no requirements, no strings attached! We just need to believe in Who has done this for us and accept it. That’s it! Praise God!
Now that we are forgiven from the inexcusable and have received this amazing gift, who are we to not do the same for others? Are we more just than God or more righteous than the Lord to withhold our forgiveness from others? The answer is no. We are to follow the perfect example of our Lord Jesus Christ and forgive others, just as He has forgiven us.

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
