2. St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at 2910 Corn Valley Rd. Shop from a variety of vendors and Check items off of your holiday shopping list. From 8 a.m.-7 p.m. today and 8 a.m-2 p.m Sunday
3. Band Hall of South Grand Prairie HS at 301 W. Warrior Trail. Stock up on great gifts as you shop the Craft Fair. From 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
4. Downtown Grand Prairie at 110 W. Main St. The Holiday Pop-Up had us at BBQ, live music from 12-5 p.m. and a magic show from 5-7 p.m. From 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
5. Sip n Shop along downtown Main Street. Who says you can’t pamper yourself while you shop? Small businesses including WeYone Style Boutique, Elle Von Studio, Embroidery + Bling Boutique and Leigh Paige Beauty will be offering discounts, free drinks, food and music. Starts at 5 p.m.

The Winter 2017 issue of Grand Prairie Magazine is here! It will be distributed to all our pick-up locations by Monday, including all area libraries, Chamber of Commerce, etc. For those who prefer not to wait, the following locations will have copies available starting tomorrow: the Farmers Market, Brass Bean Coffee House & Cafe, Forever Young Records, and the Tourist Information Center on Belt Line Road. It is free.

Our interview with Universal Standard's Co-founder Alexandra Waldman will appear in our upcoming Winter Issue. The plus-size apparel company has been creating a buzz lately for its innovative and inclusive approach on such media outlets as Today, Forbes, Refinery29 and Bustle. Fortunately for us, Dallas is one of 12 cities the online company will be traveling to during its first Road Trip.

The Grand Prairie Police Department is looking for suspects who appear to be targeting Asian women by stealing their purses after shopping at a local retail center.

In the span of one week, there have been at least two purse snatchings in the parking lot of Asia Times Square located at 2615 W. Pioneer Pkwy.

Shortly after the theft, the two men shown in the photo used the victim’s credit card in Fort Worth. The suspects may be driving a dark colored Chrysler 300 and a black Toyota Camry.

The suspects are believed to have committed multiple thefts in Arlington and Irving.
