Is your tree service business running Meta instant forms? You should have SMS verification enabled.

The one time passcode improves lead quality by filtering out fake leads, bots, and less serious customers, allowing your team to spend time on leads who are more willing to take the next step.

It is little tweaks like this that add up to make a real difference.

However, you can’t edit an existing lead ad with instant form after you publish it, but you can edit a form as long as it’s still a draft.

We are not saying you should never use platforms like Reddit. They have a purpose and can be powerful when used correctly. But if reading this headline makes you feel anxious, it might be time to rethink your strategy.

Many people have strong emotional connections to the trees on their property. Our team is full of those people.

One has a 40+ year old Northern catalpa that brings their property a sense of identity, and they love watching it change through the seasons.

We've seen some tree service businesses clearly understand this and position themselves as stewards of nature. And we've seen others that to try to sell a full removal on every call whether it is needed or not.

How you run your business is up to you. But pushy sales tactics and a disregard for the customer's emotional connection can lead to more lost revenue than you might realize…

If you walk into a grocery store and see a sign that says “Buy Here,” it doesn't tell you anything about the products in that section.

But if the sign says “Organic, Farm-Fresh Local Produce,” you immediately know what you'll find.

The same concept applies to anchor text on your website. Your links should be descriptive and provide context for both users and the bots crawling your site.

Take a look at your current tree service website. Are you using generic anchor text like:
“Click here”
“Learn more”
“Reach out”

If so, take the time to replace them with more value-driven, descriptive text:
“Schedule tree removal services”
“Get a free tree trimming and pruning estimate”
“Read about our property maintenance plans”

Clear descriptive anchor text improves site navigation and helps search engines better understand the pages on your website and boosts conversions.

And remember, if there is a page on your site that you consider valuable, there should be internal links pointing to it!

One of our favorite features Google somewhat recently rolled out in Search Console is the ability to add custom annotations.

These notes (up to 120 characters) are a great way to document when there are changes to your operations, shifts in your digital marketing strategy, or when algorithm & spam updates start and finish.

Over time, these annotations can help reveal patterns that might otherwise be missed, while providing Google’s AI tools and dashboards additional context about your business.

'Meta/Facebook Crawling Web & May Be Building Search Engine'

One of the most common pieces of marketing advice we give tree service businesses is to post consistently on social media.

Is this a groundbreaking concept? No. But very few businesses (of all sizes) actually do it.

Social media platforms continue to act more like search engines, and AI models are increasingly pulling social content for its answers.

If you don't know where to start, we recommend focusing on three things: image and video quality, properly tagging your photos, and posting consistently.

Will Meta actually follow through with this? Maybe - but that doesn't change our advice.
