My heart goes out to a guy who called me today who spent $4,000 on a website and still wasn't online yet. He decided to try to find someone local and found me online. Wow, I could have saved him a LOT of money! While I'd love to charge $4,000 for a website, I would rather small businesses use that money for other start-up costs. Hoping I can help him start making money instead of spending it!

Now Facebook is automatically giving you an email account - and unlisting your personal email if you had one in your About You. Here's how to change it back.

Facebook made a change on your About Page e-mail address. They changed it to the Facebook e-mail address which will then go into your Facebook inbox. If you want to change it back to the external e-mail address you may have had before, here's how to do it. - Andrea

Still a little confused about the new Timeline layout for your business page? Check out this graphic and let me know if you have any questions or need help with a custom cover picture!

Tomorrow night I will attend a webinar on what the mandatory Timeline layout for pages will mean for your business. I am already disappointed with some of the restrictions, but am hoping something good comes out of the change!

Deleting your browsing history before March 1 when Google's new privacy policy comes into effect will limit Google's ability to track and record your every move online. The process is simple. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the google homepage and sign into your account.
2. Click the dropdown menu next to your name in the upper-right hand corner of your screen.
3. Click accounts settings
4. Find the "Services section"
5. Under "Services" there is a sub-section that reads "View, enable, disable web history." Click the link next to it that reads: "Go to Web History."
6. Click on "Remove all Web History"

When you click on "Remove all Web History," a message appears that says " Web History is Paused." What this means is that while Google will continue gathering and storing information about your web history it will make all data anonymous, that is, Google will not associate your Web History information with your online accounts and will therefore be unable to send you customized search results.
Google's ability to gather personalized information about you by assigning data to your Gmail and YouTube accounts will remain "Paused" till you click "Resume."

**Thanks Thomas Hasch for reminding me to do this and for the great how-to!

With just a week to go before Google changes to its new privacy policy that allows it to gather, store and use personal information, users have a last chance to delete their Google Browsing History, along with any damning information therein.

YAY!

YAY!

Facebook used to require pages and individual users to have at least 25 friends in order to claim a customized address extension. Not anymore.
