My name is Janel, I'm an Eastern North Carolinian and I LOVE to create graphic art! I began occassionally working with digital design in 2000, when my mom and I made personalized calendars and we also fiddled around making our own pe

rsonal websites. In 2005, through my mom's encouragement, I began creating my own digital art and stopped using pre-made clip art, to create birth announcements and Christmas photo cards (slooow to create and progress). In 2006, my mom and I began sewing handmade baby goods and I sold them on my then website called TigerAngel Gifts, that I built myself. I also sold pink ribbon designed t-shirts and other pink ribbon goods to raise funds b/c of my mom's battle of a rare breast cancer. She became physically unable to help me continue sewing, so when I became pregnant with my 2nd son, I decided to focus solely on my graphic art. On 8-8-08, days before my 2nd son was born, I opened my Belly Tickles shop on Etsy! It was easier for me than sewing and I have progressed solely through trial and error! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and will redo something tons of times until it finally looks right (to my eyes anyways)! :)

I must admit, I'd probably be farther along in my craft if I took classes or used Adobe. In the near future, I plan to slowly switch over as I recently bought a MAC per my hubby's insistence! This past year was really tough for me...my mom lost her battle in June 2009...my best friend and biggest fan. My passion to create suffered for a while but I'm slowly getting back in the groove and can't wait to create more!
