There’s just something different about seeing a home in motion.

Recently shot this interior + exterior video tour for a listing at 1105 Brookside Ln in Plainfield, Indiana.

No crazy effects. No overdoing it. Just trying to capture the house the way it actually feels when you’re there — moving through the rooms, seeing how everything connects, then stepping outside and getting a feel for the entire property.

Photos are always going to matter in real estate. But video gives a buyer something photos can’t always give them — a sense of being there before they ever schedule a showing.

That’s what I’m trying to capture every time I walk into a new listing.

Some projects are worth bringing back around. 🎥

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to film and produce this event video for GOODR during a stop in Indianapolis — on what had to be one of the coldest days of the year. 🥶

Despite the temperatures, the mission was worth showing up for.

GOODR is a hunger-relief and food-waste solutions company built around a simple idea: Feed More. Waste Less. Since its founding in 2017, GOODR has used technology and logistics to fight food insecurity while helping keep food out of landfills. Today, the company reports more than 35 million meals provided nationwide. (Goodr)

Their Mobile Grocery Store takes that mission directly into communities. The 26-foot mobile market is equipped with refrigerators, freezers and shelving and stocked with items like fresh produce, milk, eggs and pantry staples — giving people the opportunity to actually shop and choose their groceries at no cost, rather than simply receiving a pre-selected box. For this Indianapolis event, my job was to capture more than just what happened. I wanted the finished video to tell the story of the people, the atmosphere, the GOODR team and the impact they were making here in our community.

That’s what strong corporate video should do.

Whether it’s a community activation, nonprofit initiative, company event or branded campaign, professional video gives businesses a way to turn one day of impact into a story that can continue working long after the event is over.

And yes… my hands eventually thawed out. 😂🎥

🌅 One home. Four angles. Two approaches to twilight.

All four of these images showcase the same property — but there’s a little difference behind how they were created.

Two were authentic twilight captures, photographed on-site as the sun dropped below the horizon and the home’s exterior lighting began to glow.

The other two started as traditional real estate photos and were enhanced with AI to recreate that twilight atmosphere. ✨

I’m a big believer in capturing the real thing whenever possible, but AI is becoming another creative tool I can use to give agents more options when presenting a property.

Whether it’s captured in-camera or carefully enhanced afterward, the goal stays the same: make the listing stop the scroll.

From an 1840s Timber Frame to a Twilight Sky 🌅

I recently spent the day, and part of the evening, producing a complete luxury real estate video for this incredible property before it hits the market.

Listed at $1,250,000, the property features approximately 3,600 sq. ft. across three levels and sits on nearly 20 acres. But the feature that immediately grabbed my attention was inside.

The home was built around a hand-hewn timber frame dating back to the 1840s. Those exposed timbers run throughout the interior and became the visual centerpiece of the video. Add in custom finishes, stained concrete floors and a four-seasons screened porch, and there was no shortage of details to capture.

Then you step outside. 🌳

An 800-foot private gravel driveway leads into the property, with a massive 100x70 horse barn, 1,200 sq. ft. insulated shop and acres of land surrounding the home.

For a property of this scale, aerial video isn't an extra — it's one of the best ways to actually communicate what you're selling. 🚁 I captured daytime aerials to establish the size and layout of the acreage, home and outbuildings, then returned to the sky during twilight to give the finished video an entirely different look. 🌅

This is exactly the type of project I love taking on.

🏡 A listing is more than what’s inside the front door.

Recently I headed out to Plainfield, Indiana to capture this condo for an agent getting ready to bring it to market. 📸

And this property was a perfect example of why adding aerial media can make such a difference.

Sitting alongside a retention pond with a fountain, the surrounding property added another great visual element to the listing. From the ground, you see the condo. From the air, you get to show potential buyers the setting, surroundings and full perspective of the property.

That’s something I’m always looking for when I arrive at a shoot — what makes this particular listing different, and how can I showcase it?

Whether it’s a pond, acreage, mature trees, a great neighborhood, nearby amenities or simply a beautiful property from above, my goal is to give agents as much quality content as possible to market their listings.
