I want to Thank everyone that has messaged me checking on me since having a total knee replacement. I wanted to come on here and give everyone a update. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support and kind words and also address some of the other assumptions that have been made.
When having a "normal" total knee replacement the replacement itself is cemented in place and the physical therapist have you up and walking as soon as you get to your room from recovery. They have you up and walking as much as possible. Yes that is true.
I on the other hand am 32 years old (Very rare and one of the youngest to have one. Lucky me! Haha)
So with that being said the replacement itself has an expiration date of 20 years. So if God allows me to see the age of 52 then I will have to have another one. With having to eventually have another one. Instead of cementing the replacement in and in 20 years having to beat, crack, Jack hammer lol jk it out to replace it. The doctors and myself decided it would be best NOT to cement it in and allow my bones to grow to it so that the next surgery would be less painful than if they had to replace one that is cemented in. Yes I do still have to go to physical therapy twice a week but I also have to be very careful right now to not over do it and give my bones the time they need to attach and grow to the replacement. That is the reason I have not been able to reopen Burts Boutique. I need time to heal. I would hate to have had this major surgery and try to get back to working like I was too soon and do more damage and went through all this for nothing.
I appreciate the support from yall more than yall know. Yall are not my "customers" I look at yall like family. But for the few that have had something to say. I'm am sorry. I do plan on reopening next year. I'm not saying January 1st. But it will be the beginning of next year and I promise to keep everyone updated! Thank yall for the continued support and I cant wait to get back at it next year. Bigger and Better than before! Trust me I have never sat/laid around this much in my life and I'm ready to get back to my normal routine!
