Wednesday Community Shout Out 👟

What if a fun morning out could help a child have food for the weekend?

That’s why I hope you’ll join us for the Hershey Rotary Club Run/Walk for Cocoa Packs on October 24. Bring your kids, bring your dog, dress up for Halloween, and make a morning of it! 🐾🎃

You don’t have to live in Hershey to be part of this. I’d love to see friends from Palmyra and beyond come out, have fun, and show these children how many people care.

BUSINESS SHOUTOUT: DBK STRENGTH

Sometimes strength shows up long before you ever pick up a weight.

Becky Dugan made a major life change when she left her career with the FBI, moved from Virginia to Hershey, and chose to make this community her new home. From there, she began building something that came from a very personal place: helping women feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in their everyday lives.

Her journey included remote coaching, personal training, teaching women’s barbell classes at the Derry Township Community Center, and working with women in different spaces before finally opening DBK Strength on Cocoa Avenue.

At the grand opening last Saturday, Becky shared something that really captured the heart of her business:

“Failing a rep just means she couldn’t do it today, not that she failed as a person.”

And that is what DBK Strength is about. Not shrinking. Not sitting on the sidelines. Not being afraid to try. 💪

It is about building strength, taking up space, creating confidence, and helping women continue saying yes to the lives they want to live.

Congratulations, Becky, on this beautiful new chapter and on choosing Hershey as the place to build it. 📣

I’m grateful for the invitations, conversations, and time spent with Keith Kneisley M&T Bank, Karen Nye Olde Factory Antiques and Crafts, The Hershey Partnership - Hershey PA Chamber of Commerce, supporting Dreamers Productions, Inc. with Tracy Potochny, and Tina from Pink Bungalow PA. 💕

Sometimes you’re so busy doing the work that you don’t realize someone else is noticing. 💖

That’s what made this one so special.

Voyage Pennsylvania reached out after seeing some of the work I’ve been doing through Chele Social Content, LLC and in our community, and they asked if they could share my story as part of their Hidden Gems series.

I was truly humbled.

Chele Social Content has never just been about creating posts or checking marketing boxes. For me, it has always been about people, relationships, community, understanding the story behind a business, and helping that story reach the right people.

So to have someone outside of my own circle notice what I’ve been building and feel that my story was worth sharing means more than I can say.

And I know none of this happens alone.

To every client who has trusted me, every business owner who has taken my call or sat down for coffee, every person who has referred me, shared a post, introduced me to someone, encouraged me, or simply followed along, thank you. 🤗🫶

COMMUNITY SHOUT OUT: 20 years of soup, service, and supporting those who show up for our community when we need them most.

The 20th Annual Hershey Soup Cook Off, sponsored by The Hershey Partnership - Hershey PA Chamber of Commerce, is coming up Saturday, September 26, and this is one community event I hope you’ll come out and support.

The best part? Proceeds benefit the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. 🚒❤️

Our volunteer firefighters give their time, their energy, and so much of themselves to protect our communities. Events like this are a fun way for all of us to give a little something back while enjoying some pretty incredible soup!

And yes, Chele Social Content, LLC will be there! Please stop and say hi. I would love to see some familiar faces and meet a few new ones too.
