Possibly the sweetest Sidewalk Library to ever Sidewalk Library 🌷📚

One of our favorite things lately has been watching what happens after our Sidewalk Libraries find their homes.

Our customers bring them to life! They name them, fill them, tend them, and build whole little worlds around them, creating more access to books, community, and joy along the way.

We think that’s pretty cool. And it deserves to be shared.

Over the years, we had the opportunity to create book distribution boxes for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library programs, and those projects have always been especially meaningful to us.

We’ve long shared Dolly’s belief in making books more accessible and putting stories into the hands of children and communities. We were honored to play a small part in bringing that shared belief to life.

Dolly used her extraordinary life not only to entertain, but to open doors for others. Through the Imagination Library, millions of children have grown up with access to books and worlds they might never have discovered.

What a beautiful legacy to leave behind. ❤️

Sidewalk libraries are having a moment, and you know we’re here for it. 📚

There’s something about the old-school charm of the classic newspaper box. It’s why we do what we do! We wanted to keep that charm while redesigning and modifying it for the way people are using these boxes today.

Newspaper boxes do more than distribute items or information. They spark curiosity, interaction, and turn an ordinary moment into an embodied experience that stays long after the moment passes.

Great branding starts with getting people to stop, look, and engage. The newspaper box was made for this. It not only hits nostalgic receptors and real life sensory experiences, but it just makes practical sense as a means of branding, real world visibility, and distribution.

And all the legends know this.

Here are a few of our favorite brand pop-ups and activations through the years. They leaned heavily into the newsstand aesthetic (and sometimes even came back to it again in the future) because it’s a marketing tactic that works!
