One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to capture milestones that mean so much to the people I love.

Getting to photograph my best friend Key’s son, Vonnie, before graduation day at the University of Central Florida was such an honor. It was my first time meeting him, but it didn’t take long to see the light he carries.

As I was taking these photos, I found myself thinking about all the conversations Key and I have shared over the years about being boy moms. She’s walked this road before me, and she’s shown me what strength, faith, and unconditional love look like, even when life doesn’t go according to plan.

Congratulations on this exciting next chapter, Vonnie. I’m praying God’s hand is over every step you take from here. I know this is only the beginning. 🎓🤍
