Merry December, everyone!
As we all know, December is a busy, but exciting time of the year and I wanted to go ahead and make some announcements about orders, policies, and general updates about what’s going on at Patchwork Pig Embroidery!
First and foremost, because of some recent, large Christmas orders that have come in, I’m having to go ahead and cut off the deadline for orders that can be done and delivered by Christmas Day. I would normally give more of a notice, but I don’t want to take on more than I can handle and end up with a lot of unhappy and unsatisfied customers. If I catch up ahead of time, I will make a post and take on a few more orders. I will also be making a post with a thread of comments, hopefully this week, with pictures of things that I have already completed and are available for purchase! In this post, I will also include blanks that I have available to be customized after Christmas (or before if I’m able to squeeze them in)! Any orders taken after this post should expect their orders starting the first week of 2026. If we have already discussed your order or it’s in my office, you will not be affected and will have your order before Christmas!
Second, I am implementing a new policy, effective immediately in relation to what sequence my orders are stitched out and completed. Recently, I’ve noticed a big influx of customers wanting custom orders done and in their hands in a rush. If my customers ahead of them aren’t in a hurry, I tend to push the newer orders ahead in order to make everyone happy. Instead, my amazing customers that are patient and order from me often are having to wait longer periods of time for their items. I don’t like this and I don’t want any of them/you to think that they’re/you’re less important to me and my business. From now on, orders will be done in the order that they come in. I should have started it this way, but when people have different deadlines, it’s hard to stay in order. If you need something rushed, feel free to reach out and ask, I could be waiting on more product to come in and have a little free time, I just can’t guarantee it. I hope this helps with turnaround time and staying organized!
Another policy that I’m having to implement is.. orders must be paid in FULL before you receive them AND a deposit needs to be paid at the time of placing the order on all larger orders. This may seem like common sense and common practice, but I’ve always trusted my customers and now it’s bitten me. I was adding up open tickets the other day and I am owed around $2,000 on items that people already have and are using and wearing. I can’t go on like this and expect to run a successful business just trusting that people will pay me.
Third, you may have noticed above, I mentioned new orders not being done until the first week of 2026. I’m using December to finish and complete all Christmas orders and catch up on all the others so that I can start with a clean and fresh slate in 2026. I’m also going to utilize this month to enjoy time with my family and relax, because we all need to relax and recharge sometimes. I hope you all can understand this and be flexible with me during this holiday season.
Lastly, I just wanted to thank everyone for being here! Thank you for all the love, support, and patience that you’ve all shown me in my first year and few months of being in business. I’ve learned a lot and am continuing to learn and grow all the time because of all of you! Thank you for supporting my small business and I look forward to hearing from you! Have a very Merry December and an even Merrier Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
