It has come to the point in our lives the Barn Burner Business is becoming too much for us. We are ready to sell.
Barn Burner Products began in the early 1980's as a business Jerry Krusemark began wood burning wildlife and nostalgic art on reclaimed lumber. He pursued this direction for 20+ years. Selling his pieces at art shows throughout the upper Midwest. Along the way, a sales rep from the UMAGA gift show approached Jerry to allow his company to represent and sell Jerry's work on the wholesale level to retail stores throughout the country. The demand for Jerry's work was very good so he ventured out to explore laser equipment. About 1996 the company bought it's first 25 watt laser to assist Jerry in his work.
While reclaiming barn siding, it bothered Jerry that there was so much lumber in those barns that could be harvested, if there were only a use. One day Deb, Jerry's wife, was running the laser and Jerry came in handed her some plaques and told her to laser some signs to prototype. That's when our reclaimed lumber signs were born. An entirely new product for Barn Burner Products. In January 2000 our Colorado Rep had a small Montana gift show where he debuted our new line of Barn Burner signs to retailers. The signs were a smash! Our one laser was not able to keep up with the demand so we bought our second laser that was able to be mounted on our current laser table. Thus, instead of lasering 10 signs in 30 minutes we were able to laser 20.
We have met wonderful people in this industry and have had had many learning curves, Our goal is to sell our business, which was our life and passion for so many years, to someone who can carry that passion on and fulfill their dreams.
