As I’ve been presenting our Patriots advertising package to businesses, I keep hearing three questions or objections:
1. “Why should I advertise on radio?”
2. “Does radio work? Radio doesn’t work. Nobody listens to radio.”
3. “What do radio people like Audacy know about digital marketing?”
Fair questions.
But they’re based on an outdated idea of what radio advertising looks like in 2026.
I’m not walking into businesses saying:
“Buy some commercials and hope the phone rings.”
I’m talking about building a customer acquisition strategy with attribution.
Radio gives us attention and frequency around content people already care about.
In this case, Patriots football.
Then Audacy can extend that campaign through digital audio, streaming, social, display, search, online video, connected TV and other digital channels.
And with Stand Out Truck®, we can extend that visibility into the physical communities where those customers live, work, shop and drive.
Radio + Digital + Real World.
Hear your business.
See your business.
Encounter your business online.
See it again in the community.
Remember it when it’s time to buy.
And here’s the part I want business owners to think about:
Patriots fans buy cars.
Patriots fans need roofs, windows and HVAC systems.
Patriots fans go to restaurants.
Patriots fans need dentists, attorneys and insurance.
Patriots fans have bank accounts and mortgages.
Patriots fans send their kids to schools and colleges.
Patriots fans hire contractors.
Patriots fans own businesses.
Patriots fans are your customers.
WEEI Springfield reaches 44,200 listeners every month, many of whom are Patriots fans.
And this Patriots package is designed to deliver approximately 3 MILLION IMPRESSIONS throughout the season.
But I like to call them something else:
3 MILLION OPPORTUNITIES.
3 million opportunities for potential customers to hear your name.
See your business.
Learn about your products.
Learn about your services.
See your offers.
Remember you.
And ultimately, choose you.
Because you don’t need all 3 million impressions to convert to sales.
You don’t even need all 44,200 listeners to buy from you.
You need the right fraction of those opportunities to turn into customers.
So here’s the question I’m asking business owners and marketing decision makers:
How many new customers would it take to increase your bottom line?
10?
20?
50?
100?
Now compare the value of those customers to what it costs to consistently put your business in front of this audience for an entire Patriots season.
That’s a much different conversation than:
“Does radio work?”
I’m looking to present this package, with early bird bonuses, to 10 more businesses by Friday, July 31st, at 3 PM.
Let’s see if it makes sense to advertise your business to Patriots fans all season.
Patriots fans buy what you sell too.
