If you’re planning a trip to New Orleans and want spots that are actually worth your time, here are a few of my favorites you need to save. Katie’s Restaurant & Bar in Mid-City is one of those places you can hit for anything and leave full and happy. Big menu, casual vibe, and the Delta Queen pasta loaded with fried seafood is unreal. Their charcoal oysters are easily some of the best in the city. Venezia Restaurant is another go-to for Italian. The fried cheese, calamari, and house salad are always solid, but the steak is the real standout and one of my favorites in New Orleans. Commander’s Palace is a must at least once. Over 100 years of doing it right. Classic New Orleans, elegant, and full of that Southern charm you came for. Crazy Hot Pot is one of my favorite fun spots. Fresh ingredients, tons of variety, and cooking your own hot pot makes it a great option for families or something different. And then Clancy’s Restaurant, an upscale neighborhood spot that just does everything right. Simple, fresh, and some of the best food in the city in my opinion. Save this for your next New Orleans trip.

When people talk about Vegas they usually mean the casinos the bars and the noise that comes with it and sure that’s part of the deal but every visit I end up right here standing still looking up and feeling like a kid again Fremont Street Experience turns a simple walk downtown into something unexpectedly cool a massive screen stretching over the street with lights and visuals that pull you in without asking for your wallet no tickets no lines just one of those moments that reminds you travel is about paying attention if you’re planning a Vegas trip don’t skip downtown this is free and it’s worth it
