If you're a business owner thinking of how to grow your business and get more sales then this is for you 👇

The most common questions people are asking when trying to grow their business is:

How can I grow my business online? and
How can I attract clients?

Here are some gold nuggets:
Know who your customer is-you'd be surprised how many biz owners can't answer that question or go in depth with it. What are their pain points? What problems do they have? How can your business help them?

What is your plan to acquire customers-Alot of biz owners don't have a plan and wonder why they haven't made any progress!

Every business should have a website! IF you don't sell your services or products online, figure out a way to do it, it's 2021. Staying in one geographic location limits your growth. Having a website builds your brand and gets eyeballs on your business.

2nd: Make sure your website is optimized!! For the love of GOD make sure your website is optimized. What i mean is have the tracking pixel on your site (how else will you know who went to your site?) FB pixel, Google tracking, even linkedin pixel.
The pixel tracks people that go to your site as well as what page they were on and if they filled out your contact form/booking page/viewed your products ect. The pixel also enables you to run your ads better! Giving you valuable info on your customers and even how to better market to them.

Make sure your website loads fast. Google did a study and found as page load time goes from 1 sec to 3 secs, the bounce rate (how many people leave your page) increases by 32%!!!!

Make sure your Call to Action (CTA) is at the top half of the page. Every time a person has to scroll, your bounce rate increases.

Example: Lets say you run a ad and 10k people saw it, you get 2% click through or 200 people. Assuming your page loads fast, maybe 150-180 people will land on it. IF your CTA button is 2/3 the way down or requires 2 scrolls to see it, your bounce rate increases. 180, down to 100, 100 down to 40. Lets assume the Avg click through rate for websites are 2-5%, that would be 0.8 to 2 or 2 customers.

Now lets say you have the pixel tracking customers, you have the pic and more optimized on your landing page so your CTA is at the top. You run the ad, get 10k people see it, 200 click the ad, 180 land, 2-5% conversion rate: 3 to 9 customers. That's up to a 450% increase!!

3) Have a plan of attack to your marketing (here's a hint: I'm gonna show you)

Follow the 5 core functions to grow your business:
1: Lead Generation
2: Lead Nurture
3: Conversions
4: Delivery
5: Retain, Resell and Upsell

Lead generation should be your main focus!!! Build out multiple channels for consistent lead flow: FB, Instagram, Google or Youtube (videos are amazing for brand awareness and SEO of your business!)
Lead nurture is the 2nd priority! Build a system in place (ideally before you really need it). Automate as much as you can. This could be a chatbot on your FB page (helps answer FAQ of your customers), it could be an email auto responder when your out of the office to let your customers know you will get back asap! It could also be an automated follow up for any new leads or customer requests. 78% of customers buy from WHOEVER REACHED OUT FIRST!!!! Follow up is key! Follow up like your life depended on it!

Conversions is simply how many leads did you convert. Keep an eye on this metric to see if there are holes in your follow up systems or marketing.

Delivery is simply delivering your services to your customers and doing an awesome job so you get referrals!

Retain, resell and upsell-This is doing a good job that they stay with you longer, resell them on a service (if you offer a subscription based service) or upsell them on a higher end program/product or offer.

A lot of remodelers struggle to get consistent leads and sells because they are heavily reliant on referrals and word of mouth.
Instead of trying to get any job you can you should focus on your core offer.

This isn’t as hard as it seems because a lot of homeowners get scammed by contractors for the following reasons:

What is a lot of money to you?
Money is relative. Everything in life has a price. Are you investing in your success?

Is $3,000 a lot? For a leather bag? Yes. For your business? No.
Here’s why:
Let’s say you invest $3,000 into marketing for your remodel business. For $3,000 let’s say I generate at least 100 leads for your business. AND not only do we get you leads, my team and I will convert them into appointments, currently our conversion is just alittle over 50% but let’s say it’s 40%.

So, 40 leads out of 100 turn into appointments. Out of the 40 appointments, 1 in 3 actually show up, thats 13. Now, let’s assume you and your team follow up, meet with the customer, go over details and finally when the dust settles 7 of those 13 turn into actual jobs. Let’s say you do kitchen and bath remodels.

The avg kitchen remodel is about $15k. That’s $105k in revenue from jobs.

Should I have a website?

Short answer is, yes.

While it may be easier to just have a free Facebook Business page it is also a great idea to have a website. Here’s why:

1) building an online presence
With everything going on, especially this year. Businesses need a website more than ever before. Having a website helps you reach new customers at an extremely affordable price compared to traditional print and manual methods.
People search for what they want or need online before actually visiting a business. And once they find one they will go to the business with the best reviews, or displayed services. Which means if you don’t have a website you won’t even be considered.

2) Customers can be kept informed. Unlike traditional paper or foot traffic, having a website means you can build an email list and keep your customers up to date with what’s happening with your business. You can send promotions right into their inbox or even send automatic thank you notes on their birthday!

3) More accurate marketing
Due to having a website there are online tools you can use to track how people use your site.
You can see how many people visit your site, and thanks to FB pixel you can even retarget them as they come to Facebook!

4) Build online Real Estate
This ties into marketing. Instead of relying on just foot traffic you can send traffic from Facebook to your site so people become aware of your business, services you offer and areas you service. You can create videos on YouTube and Facebook and send them to your website whereby you have multiple forms of traffic:
1) Foot traffic of nearby people

If your stuck trying to figure out how to growth your business use these 5 principles to scale.

The 5 core functions:

1) Lead Generation

In order to grow your business you need to grow the top line. Ie. Get more leads coming in.
If you build a system to get incoming leads you don’t have to worry about 1 or 2 deals/jobs falling through because there is always more.

Once you get those leads you have to nurture them to convert into sales. Remodeling is a big undertaking for most homeowners. The difference between big remodeling companies and individual contractors that have to fight for business is the big companies have nurturing sequences in place. Blogs, email marketing, information articles and brochures and testimonials, examples of work, ect.

Once you have nurtured the lead and convince them that you are the best, you have to have a sales team to close the leads.

Once they are close then the delivery (your services) can begin. This may involve a walk through process with a designer (otherwise known as design-build businesses). Homeowners want to work with businesses that have a designer and team to suggest great designs and options for them so the entire process from idea to ex*****on is seamless.

Last, once you have done a great job. You should retain them as a customer and keep the relationship going and resell them on another service. Which means, offer multiple services: painting and gutters. Kitchen & baths. Roofing and siding, ect. Even something as simple as pressure washing, since it can be done quickly, keeps the home looking fresh and is a lower, affordable price and you can build recurring revenue offering it.

Sure you can still advertise using conventional methods such as fliers, word of mouth, referrals but what happens when that dries up?
Think of it this way: imagine trying to climb 20 stories. You could either take the stairs or take the elevator.
Now if you take the stairs sure you can run up the stairs but you might fall, trip or just exhaust yourself.
Now the elevator may move up slow, open at different floors but it’s steady and gets you there with ease.

That’s what digital marketing is. It enables you to find consumers already searching for your service and brings them to you!
With digital you can also track your customer or prospect and allow easy follow up to boost sales and see how much your spending and what the prospect is looking for (targeting).
