Generally, when I talk with nonprofit folks about social media, they tell me they just donāt have time to post. And if they do find the time, thereās rarely enough left to build a strategy, stay consistent, and review the results.
But every now and then, I meet a team doing the opposite: posting everywhere and all the time. š«£
And every time, I hear the same thing: theyāre completely burnt out.
So please hear me when I say this:
šØYou do not need to post every day.
šØYou do not need to be on every platform.
Nonprofit work is already intense. Most people are doing the work of three! Donāt make social media harder than it needs to be.
Here are a few simple ways to lighten your load:
š
Start with a plan thatās easy to stick to.
š± Focus on 2ā3 platforms where your audience actually spends time.
š Cross post! Create once and adapt it.
šø Keep a shared folder for photos and videos from your team.
š§ Batch create content to save time and stress.
Nonprofit work is hard. Your social media doesnāt have to be.š«¶ Work smarter, not harder.
