Red River Nomad is looking for interns and/or a long-term part-time assistant (5-15 hours/week). NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY and you DO NOT need to be local to Nashville to apply. We operate out of TN & TX, but you don't have to live in either state.
If you need college credit or are making a career switch into the music industry, please consider applying. If you have experience and have a resume, please send it over. If you don't, don't sweat it. Send over a paragraph or two about why you'd be a good fit for this role and what you can bring to our team, along with your expected hourly rate (or if you'll need us to sign off for college credit).
Our brand covers retail, music reviews, artist booking & management, and food & travel. We mostly work with artists and vendors in the country music space. On top of Red River Nomad, we also run a non-profit, Songs for Heroes, that pairs songwriters with Veterans to help them tell their stories through songs. You'll also be helping with some admin & planning tasks on that end as well.
Ongoing training will be provided! Our client and vendor relationships are important to us and we need folks who will take even the basic tasks for them seriously.
Some of the tasks:
- Minor website updates (adding a pic or formatting a blog post)
- Research- contact info and initial email draft
- Editing pre-built Canva templates
- Pitching* & Follow-up emails (shows, inquiries, press coverage)
- Correspondence with our artists, producers, and songwriters (mostly scheduling confirmations, but also occasional promo budget inquiries or other follow ups)
- TimeTree App management (blocking off show dates, routing blocks, etc)
- LinkTree App management (weekly link updates)
- Booking* & booking email drafts (we will train you, IF you have an interest in this. You DO NOT need to have this skillset. We have the contacts and will walk you through the process and you will earn a percentage of the bookings you help secure).
- PR* & Artist Management tasks* (please specify if you have an interest in this)
If you're in the Nashville area, there will be opportunities to go with some of our artists to the studio and meet with producers and other musicians and network. We also host RRN writer's rounds and special events that you will probably be helping with admin stuff for anyway, but you're also welcome to attend.
Feel free to leave questions in the comment section.
