Houston, we’ve got an early look at a Houston-made independent film. 🎬
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Black Cinema Club HTX and Houston Latino Film Festival is proud to support JOURNEY (Journey The Movie), a Houston-bred independent film heading to theaters nationwide.
The film follows Roberto, a young man suddenly deported to Mexico who must make a dangerous journey back to the United States in hopes of reuniting with his family before the birth of his first child.
Created by an independent team with deep Houston roots, JOURNEY was co-written by Houston filmmaker Orlando Briones (Orlando Briones), who also served as executive producer and cinematographer.
Before the film officially releases in 32 theaters across the country on October 2, Houston gets a special preview screening with Orlando Briones in attendance.
