Serious Ted talk here.
AI is a great tool. It has been incredibly helpful to getting decent art. But sending your production team an ai generated mockup (design on a shirt, embroidery on a hat etc...) of a final good is negative helpful.
We have to make your art print ready (I'll get to the embroidery).
This means
-removing backgrounds. all of that shirt nonsense has to go. all your white background needs to go as well.
-we have to make sure that your somewhere near 300dpi for quality printing.
Both these things might not seem like much, but they're a night mare on the back end of your "final good"
So help us out. When you're starting a prompt, start with "I need a DTF print ready file, transparent background at 300dpi before any prompt. NO SHIRT, NO HAT, NO BACKGROUND.
Embroidery- bear with this one. we still need flat files. These flat flies are analyzed (i make sure its even worth sending out) and then they are sent to a professional digitizer (someone who makes embroidery SPECIFIC files) and then we test and stitch out.
There are rules to embroidery, its not "oh i can see it on computer so surely it can be done on fabric." I cant labor this point enough. Most of what people do on AI WILL NOT CONVEY to embroidery. I could get more into that ted talk but no one cares, or to be honest wants to hear it. Trust me I dont want to say no to your vision, but sometimes i have to if we break the rules. Embroidery is not limitless to what you see on a computer screen.
Even if you get all green lights on the embroidery, please to not expect it to look like what AI created for you. Because after all it is AI.
