When I started The Viking Mom, I thought I was creating content.

What I didn’t realize was that I was building connections.

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of talking to women who are rebuilding their lives, chasing dreams, healing from difficult chapters, and trying to find their next step.

Some of those conversations have stayed with me long after the call ended.

Because of that, I’ve decided to open a very limited number of private calls.

Not because I have all the answers.

But because sometimes we all need someone to listen, brainstorm, encourage us, and help us see possibilities we can’t see on our own.

This is just the beginning of what I hope The Viking Mom becomes.

What if the thing you’re afraid to start…
actually changes your life?

What if you write the book?
What if you start the business?
What if you launch the page?
What if you go back to school?
What if you ask for the raise?
What if you apply for the job?
What if you take the trip?
What if you finally choose yourself?

And what if it works?

Not perfectly.

Not overnight.

But what if that one brave step becomes another…
and another…
and another…

Until one day you’re standing in a life that used to feel impossible.

Most people spend their lives trapped inside worst-case scenarios.

“What if I fail?”
“What if they judge me?”
“What if I embarrass myself?”
“What if it doesn’t work?”

But very few people stop long enough to ask:

“What if it does?”

What if the dream you’ve been carrying for years isn’t ridiculous?

What if the idea that won’t leave you alone is trying to lead you somewhere?

What if the life you want is waiting on the other side of one uncomfortable decision?

Fear will always give you a thousand reasons to stay where you are.

But courage isn’t the absence of fear.

It’s taking the first step while your knees are still shaking.

Because the women who build extraordinary lives aren’t the women who never feel afraid.

They’re the women who refuse to let fear make the decision.

So today, Shieldmaiden…

Ask a different question.

Not “What if I fail?”

What if it works?

Do it nervous.
Do it unsure.
Do it before you feel “ready.”
Do it while your hands shake and your mind whispers:
“What if this fails?”

Because the first step is almost always the scariest one.

Not because you are weak.
But because your nervous system has grown used to safety… sameness… survival.

Today I started something new.
Not perfectly.
Not confidently.
Not with some magical guarantee that it will work.

But I started.

And sometimes that is the moment your life quietly begins to change.

People think courage feels powerful.
But most of the time?
Courage feels like fear mixed with hope.
It feels like posting the video anyway.
Launching the thing anyway.
Taking the class anyway.
Starting the healing anyway.
Speaking up anyway.

The first step feels terrifying because your old life is fighting to keep you small and predictable.

But the woman you are becoming?
She is built in those moments.

Not in certainty.
In movement.

You do not need perfect clarity to begin.
You need willingness.

One shaky step.
One brave decision.
One moment where you stop waiting for permission to become who you already are inside.

And one day you will look back at this scared version of you with tears in your eyes…
because she was brave enough to begin.

My free guide is at the top of my page for the woman rebuilding herself one step at a time.

And if this spoke to you…
follow and join the Shieldwall. ⚔️

There comes a point where you have to ask yourself a hard question:

Why am I the one constantly giving, sacrificing, adjusting, understanding, forgiving… while they do the bare minimum?

Why are you the flexible one?
The understanding one?
The one carrying the emotional weight?
The one keeping the peace?
The one sacrificing sleep, sanity, dreams, time, energy?

And somehow… they still expect more.

That is how overgiving becomes a trap.

Because the more you normalize abandoning yourself…
the more other people start seeing it as your job.

Read that again.

Some people become very comfortable receiving what is costing you everything.

And women? We are often conditioned to wear self-sacrifice like some kind of badge of honor.

To be the “good mom.”
The “good partner.”
The “good daughter.”
The one who keeps pouring from an empty cup and calls it strength.

But strength is not endless self-erasure.

Strength is noticing the pattern.
Strength is telling the truth.
Strength is realizing love should not require your slow disappearance.

If this hit something in you… maybe it’s time to start taking your power back, one choice at a time.
