I was born in the city of Kingston Upon Hull, in Yorkshire on the east coast of England. I grew up with working class parents living in city council owned housing, and graduated high school at 17. Never having the opportunity of a college education, I worked reta
il for a number of years. This eventually led to a sales executive position for one of the largest UK breweries for the next 6 years. I always wanted the chance to work overseas, and escape the English weather, so the call of a job in sunny Southern California was a fairly easy decision, and 22 years later, I don’t regret it one bit! Having landed in Orange County, California in 1995 with just two bags of clothes and a dream, I began working for a printing company in outside sales. With a Thomas Guide Map, no navigation back then, and driving on the wrong side of the road, I started selling printing. Ironically, my father worked for the local newspaper back in the UK for many years and I used to visit him, and see the large printing presses when I was a boy, never thinking one day I would be in a similar business. In 2001, after 5 years of working for several printing companies, I decided to open my own company, Europrint, combining my European heritage with the main source of my business — printing. We incorporated the same year, and I worked out of a shared office and my home. As a new business owner and a first-generation immigrant, I worked long hours by myself building the client base to secure a future for me and my family. There were some significant changes in marketing in the 2000s with shifts away from traditional medias like print, and moves towards digital and marketing automation. Technology was rapidly changing as were company marketing strategies. It was vital to the continued success of Europrint, that we move with these changes and embrace them. I began to look at other marketing medias and partnered with a number of companies to expand our portfolio beyond just print. This strategy evolved over the past decade and I made the decision to re-brand the company EuroMedia in September 2017. We offer so much more than just print, we are a multi media company.
