Why should real estate sponsors be on social media? Because your investors are already there.

Family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and even institutional allocators are scrolling LinkedIn, reading newsletters, and consuming industry commentary daily. Social media is no longer a “nice to have” — it’s where attention lives. And attention compounds.

Repeated exposure builds familiarity. Familiarity builds trust. And trust is the currency of capital formation.

In his Thesis Driven article, “Parasocial Capital," Paul Stanton explores how real estate sponsors (and by extension all capital-raising professionals) can leverage “parasocial relationships” the psychological trust that forms when audiences repeatedly consume your content to build credibility and attract capital.

Billions of investment dollars today are sourced through marketing funnels that begin with social media. The sponsors who show up regularly, articulate their thesis clearly, and educate their audience are the ones who stay top of mind when capital is allocated.

There is significant opportunity on LinkedIn for authentic, founder-led voices who are willing to show up consistently and build real relationships.

Social media isn’t about vanity metrics.
