“Taurusroad Creative is a branding and marketing agency that offers big city quality with small town heart. We have three main pillars as a business. Number one: as individuals, we love our work. I love being a graphic designer. Lauren loves marketing. We love what we do, and love is what started the business. Number two: this community deserves it. Jackson is full of extremely hardworking people. There are so many businesses that bring life to this community, and all of them deserve professional-looking marketing, branding, and assets, all under one roof. We want to be that for them. Number three: we want to be a part of paving the way for creative career paths in Jackson. We want creatives to know that it's possible to build their career here. Whether it’s working for us or starting your own business, we can support you. We want creative kids who are in high school to know that you can go off to college somewhere else and be proud of where you're from, and if you want, you can come back home to a career.

Branding and marketing is the full public representation of you and your business. You're not there to blend into the rest—you're there to stand out. You have a story, you have a vision, you have a focus, and you have a drive, and that deserves to be shown. We're able to put that into your branding, in your logo, how you style your photography, your font choices, your color palette—all of it. You want to stand out, to be unique. You're not just another business, you're not just another store on the street. You have a story to tell, and that's what branding and marketing is all about: telling that story.

Along with that, we are also here to make your life easier. Running a business is chaotic, and when you throw in marketing, social media, graphic design, website design…it quickly becomes too much to handle, and we're here to help.

This year, we’ll be moving into a new space on the first floor in the Blake building, 180 W. Michigan Avenue. Not only will it be the new home of Taurusroad, it will be a rentable space for any type of event: baby or bridal showers, conferences, presentations, or creative events. We’ll have a photo studio. We want to put local artists up on the walls so they can host a small show or pitch their work. Florists could do floral arranging classes. We have so many talented creatives here in Jackson, and this space can help bring their vision to life.

My favorite part of moving back to Jackson has been the people. I get to hear all of these stories and the ‘whys’. I get to hear the passion, and then I get to be a part of that growth, whether that's the start of a business or the rebranding of a business. I get to hear why everyone's excited, why they're starting what they're doing. I get to see this community flourish.”

"I moved back to Jackson less than a year ago. We had a daughter and wanted to have the support of family, and Lauren Dunigan starting Taurusroad gave me the opportunity to continue my career here. Growing up, Jackson was really defined by ‘family’: barbecues, birthdays, other family events.

But now, as an adult and a professional, I’m seeing what this community does for the community. Everyone is working so hard to grow this community, and getting to be a part of that is exciting. It’s exciting for my daughter. For example, hearing about what the Chamber and Experience Jackson are doing—everyone is really getting their hands dirty and trying to build the community up. It’s exciting to be a part of a community like that, and it’s exciting for what it means for my daughter and the next generations.

I never thought I’d move back to Jackson. I went to school in Grand Rapids, then moved to Indianapolis. Chicago is one of my favorite cities. But I think, especially for families, Jackson is a perfect balance. I love big cities, but there is something really nice to just have a yard, have your kids be able to run around, and have a sense of community. My daughter has different schools available to her. She can participate in different activities. She can be into wildlife or the arts or tech and still be here. She's two right now, so who knows what that's gonna look like when she's 18? I moved back for family and for my career, but coming back has really opened my eyes to everything that is happening here, and that makes moving back even more exciting.”

Taking a leap without a roadmap is one of the scariest things I've ever done. And five years later, some days it still is.

But you show up. You make the sales calls, sit in the presentations, show up to the networking events, shoot the campaigns, design the projects, walk across the stage. You do it because you believe in what you're building and because the people around you believe in it too. People like Kylie, who took a leap of faith and joined this ride with me.

Five years of saying yes, figuring it out, and showing up. More than we could ever fit into a caption or a carousel. The sales calls, the late nights, the wins, the lessons...there is no list long enough. And with every year, Taurusroad gets clearer on who we are, who we want to serve, and what we're actually capable of.

This isn't a hobby. This is our career, our craft....we have big goals for this agency and for Jackson. The last five years have only made us more certain of that.

Now we're stepping into the next chapter with more team members, more offerings, more connection, and deeper roots in the community we love. Big city quality, small town heart. That has always been the mission and it always will be.

Every color, every texture, every little detail on this board has a story.

We started with Karen F. Dunigan, her boldness, her warmth, her love of cross stitch, and let that guide everything. The stitch patterns running through the brand? That's her. The vibrant colors that practically jump off the screen? Also her. The fonts with all that character and personality? You guessed it.
