What would you do if it felt like everything you tried to grow was destined to fail?

The easy answer is to give up. I noticed what felt like a pattern in my life where things would die or stay stunted no matter how hard I tried. But God showed me through Hannah’s story how things shifted when, after years of barrenness, she chose to cry out to Him, have faith and make a covenant with Him, despite zero guarantees and no sign that this time would be any different. And then the breakthrough finally happened 🙌🏾.

I wrote about my personal journey wrestling with this fear and learning from Hannah’s story. If you’ve ever been in a place of feeling like you’re waiting a long time for your breakthrough, and had fears that it might never happen for you, you should read my blog.

Not captured: my son getting paint on my carpet, my husband coming to the rescue and kicking them out so I could focus 😂, and my daughter sneaking back in to ask questions 🤦🏾‍♀️😂

I love it here though. My kids get to see me pursuing what God has called me to do, and it’ll one day inspire them to do the same (no matter the challenges or interruptions 😌 lol)

This piece in my collection is soooo close to being doing. Want to find out when everything is available (originals + prints)?

If you’ve been dealing with creative block lately, it might not be what you think. Here are a few reasons it could actually be happening:

⚠️ you haven’t been resting—and I mean actually resting
⚠️ your mind is overstimulated and you haven’t given it space to breathe
⚠️ you’re creating outside of what God has actually called you to do right now
⚠️ there’s something unhealed in your heart that’s blocking the flow

I wrote a full breakdown on overcoming creative blocks, including some major reasons it may be happening, and how the Lord has led me to deal with them. It’s time to deal with the root so that you can keep creating the way God designed you to 🫶🏾

My husband is one of my greatest supporters and my best friend. He has believed in moments when it felt hard for me to believe in myself. He prays for me, speaks life over me, works hard to provide for his family, protects me and our children, and loves us so well.

He is one of my greatest gifts from God, second to Jesus saving my life. God has done so much in us individually and together that has contributed to our marriage going strong, and I’m so grateful to be celebrating 10 years of marriage later this year. Happy Valentine’s Day my love 💛

It’s because of God’s love that He chose to send His Son to die the most brutal death so that we’d be saved (John 3:16) ❤️.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we can all probably think of a time where we desperately tried to find love in all the wrong places. Maybe that’s you right now.

It may seem like a cliché, but millions around the world (including me) can attest to how life changing God’s love is. The few testimonies I shared are some examples of how He loves deeply and comes to rescue us even in our lowest moments 🥹. From being healed of HIV to being set free from addiction and mental illnesses, His love is like nothing else you’ll ever find—it doesn’t change, never ends, isn’t afraid of your ‘mess’ and can transform your life.

If this is something you’ve never experienced, or you struggle to receive God’s love especially when you feel ‘broken’, I wrote a blog post about my own journey and how learning to receive God’s love changed my life. Comment blog and I’ll send it you (or find it at my link in bio). I pray that it encourages you 🫶🏾

Don’t believe the lie that God’s love has conditions 💛

I spent so many years convinced that my history and mistakes made me “damaged goods” and that God was looking at me with nothing but disappointment. But the reality is, God doesn’t see you the way you may see yourself—with disdain or disgust.

The moment I realized that His love isn't a reward for good behavior everything shifted. The cycles started to break when I stopped trying to pay for a gift that was already free. I wrote about this journey in my latest blog.

If you’ve been struggling to feel “good enough” or like you have to perform to be loved, this post is for you. 🫶🏾
