After 15+ years in marketing, I've learned that bad marketing advice is usually packaged really well.
It sounds confident.
It sounds simple.
It promises fast results.
And that's exactly why so many business owners fall for it.
The truth?
Most successful businesses aren't growing because they found a secret algorithm hack.
They're growing because they consistently show up, build trust, stay visible, and follow up with people long after everyone else gives up.
Marketing isn't Amazon Prime.
Most buyers need time.
Most relationships take repetition.
Most growth comes from doing the right things over and over again.
So yes...
More than a few pieces of marketing advice give me the ick. đ
What's one piece of marketing advice you've heard that made you immediately think, "Absolutely not"?
đ Tell me in the comments.
